Thank you, First Lady Cathy Justice and Babydog 🐶 for helping us spread the word! 🙌 We’re so proud of the work our #LicensedPartner West Virginia Department of Education is doing to ensure students have the resources and support they need to succeed! 💙 #BeingPresentMatters
✏️Come to School ✏️ First Lady Cathy Justice has a message for everyone! School is a place of learning, growth, excitement, and more, but only if students are present! Attendance is important as it allows students to remain engaged in the learning process and develop confidence in their skills. The Communities In Schools initiative helps accomplish this by surrounding students with a community of support. 🍎 Learn more 👉 https://bit.ly/40G2BCL. #WVEd #CISWV

We love this inspiring #MentoringMonth story from CISNT! Thank you for being present and making a difference, Dr. Rogers! 💙 #BeingPresentMatters #MissionMonday
🌟 The Power of Mentorship 🌟 For over a decade, Dr. Kevin Rogers, former Superintendent of Lewisville ISD, has been changing lives by mentoring through CISNT. Dr. Rogers knows firsthand the lasting impact mentorship has on youth, stating, “You get more from volunteering than what you give. I truly believe we’re meant to serve and serving others is invigorating and enjoyable!” For those who may be hesitant to volunteer, Dr. Rogers shares that, "there’s nothing better than to serve kids and it’s so easy to manage with the assistance CISNT provides. Everyone can make a difference! Please do." Tasha Moore, our CEO, highlights that the "impact of a mentoring relationship for a student is immeasurable. Dr. Rogers consistently demonstrated how a mentor can ignite a student's potential, build their confidence, and inspire them to pursue a life that positively impacts their community.” His story is a beautiful reminder of the lasting difference a caring adult can make in a child’s life. Today's #CISalum spotlight is on Kai Green, an alumni coordinator and Communities In Schools of Memphis alumna 🌟 Through CIS, Kai discovered a world of support and opportunity. As an alumni coordinator, she’s making an impact in the lives of young adults by giving them the support and guidance CIS gave her to help them succeed. Kai stepped outside her comfort zone by joining the CIS National Alumni Advisory Group and attending a three-day alumni planning retreat in Washington, D.C. There, she connected with other CIS alumni from across the nation to brainstorm ways to strengthen the CIS alumni community and enhance CIS's impact. One of her highlights from the convening was meeting CIS National Founder and Vice Chairman Bill Milliken and his wife, Jean. 🔗 Read Kai's CIS story (written in her own words): https://lnkd.in/edFnSJ27 #BeingPresentMatters
