About us
The Community Foundation of St. Clair County improves the quality of life in St. Clair County by meeting the broad philanthropic goals of our donors through the creation and administration of permanently endowed funds. These endowed funds – restricted, unrestricted, advised and field of interest – allow the Foundation to support a broad variety of community development programs and projects. Using our organizational assets we enhance the spirit of philanthropy in St. Clair County and identify opportunities for collaboration which help transform our community – both the people and the place – by compounding the resources of our donors and the efforts of the "doers" (people who make things happen) to increase regional vibrancy and prosperity.

The downtowns of both Port Huron and St. Clair are enjoying the economic impact of recent placemaking projects which lure young people, couples and families to just hang out and linger. These placemaking projects; McMorran Plaza in Port Huron and the Riverview Plaza Courtyard in St. Clair – are prime examples of the economic theories behind placemaking.
Placemaking... something I'm proud to say our Foundation has done well with numerous local partners. And wow are the impacts noticeable for our downtowns!
