Founder & CEO of Coral Care - Revolutionizing access to pediatric specialty care!

Jess's story perfectly captures the everyday challenges faced by 20% of families in the US. At Coral Care, we understand this struggle all too well, and it's what fuels our mission: making it easier for parents to find trusted pediatric specialists. We're actively working to change the narrative. We're already making a difference in Massachusetts, and we're growing to reach more families. Thanks for sharing your story, Jess Meredith!

Them (the professionals): "Your child has a complex profile of special educational needs and early intervention is critical." Me: "OK. So she'll get speech therapy?" Them: "No, there's none available." Me: "Occupational therapy?" Them: "No." Me: "Play therapy?" Them: "No." Me: "Sensory integration therapy?" Them: "No." Me: "ANY therapy?" Them: "No." Me: "So what support is available?" Them: "We can send you on a parenting course." Me: 🙄 "What about if I pay for private therapy?" Them: "You'll be lucky finding anyone that has capacity." Me: "Right, well is there any other support available?" Them: "We can send you some leaflets." Me: "You mean like the information I can find on google?" Them: "Yes." This is the reality of parenting a child whose needs are not met by society. In fact this is just a snippet. Watching your child suffer as the result of lack of resources and funding, and broken systems is soul destroying. If this is you, you are not alone. I wish I could help. I wish change would come more quickly. But I will not stop talking about this until it does happen. Our children deserve more.

"The benefit of at-home care, especially with children, is that patients are more comfortable in their environment. You don’t have to overcome anxieties and discomfort before you can even actually start treatment. A lot of the time, your home becomes your therapy space. As a parent, you can use the tools that you already have in your home — and that your children are already familiar with — to help them." -Our Founder and CEO, Jennifer Wirt What a wonderful feature from MedCity News! Check out Jen's story and more on Coral Care's mission to bring pediatric developmental care directly to families through in-home sessions. We believe it should be simple, affordable, and transparent to find the right specialist for your child.

At Coral Care, we know that every child moves at their own pace and we’re on a mission to make sure every child gets the care and extra support they deserve.   We connect families with licensed speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and physical therapists for in-person and at-home appointments in two weeks or less, no waitlist. Built by a mom who experienced the frustration of navigating the system firsthand, our team understands the stress of trying to do what’s best for your child, only to be met with dead-ends. That’s why we’re so excited to announce that we’ve raised $1.3 million in funding to further our mission of revolutionizing access to in-home pediatric developmental care. Twenty percent of children have a developmental delay or disability. Public programs are overwhelmed by growing demand, multi-month waitlists are the norm for both public and private services, and a dearth of in-network providers means that parents spend a fortune on pediatric developmental care from birth to kindergarten. We want to change the system by removing the barriers to care for both families and specialists. We’re so grateful for the support of Reach Capital, GreyMatter, Purpose Built + Hustle Fund, and our group of amazing angel investors as we further this mission and expand into even more states! https://lnkd.in/eja9d2am

🌟 Exciting News at Coral Care! 🌟 I'm thrilled to announce that Coral Care has secured $1.3 million in funding to further our mission of revolutionizing access to in-home pediatric developmental care. 🚀 We’re so grateful for the support of Reach Capital, Greymatter capital, Purpose Built, Hustle Fund, and our group of amazing angel investors. Big thanks to Erin Brodwin and Axios for sharing our story and helping spread the word about the vital work we're doing at Coral Care. 🙏 Our vision is to address the critical healthcare needs of children facing developmental delays and disabilities, a segment that has seen a staggering 152% increase in the last 25 years. Coral Care is committed to providing families with timely and affordable access to quality developmental care, a mission inspired by my own challenges in finding suitable care for my kids. Since our September launch, we’ve grown our pediatric specialist network to over 50+ and are now in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA, Harvard Pilgrim Health, and MGH Brigham — making care more accessible, timely, and affordable. More than anything, I'm proud that the families we work with are excited about the quality of care we’re providing and are continuing to book sessions through Coral Care (we’ve had an NPS of 100!) Thank you to our incredible investors, partners, and the entire Coral Care team for making this possible. Here's to helping many more families access quality developmental care in 2024!  🎉 https://lnkd.in/eFbSjgty Lauren Cucinotta Karina Tsareva, LCSW Lindy Myers Nitzan MacDermott Islaine Delgado N.
