About us
The RISE Network is a Connecticut-based non-profit organization with a mission to empower educators to achieve breakthrough results, helping all students realize and achieve their full potential. RISE facilitates networked improvement communities by bringing together educators working in different contexts to advance shared goals. Together, we build community, democratize innovation, and improve systems in public schools and districts. Through our current network, RISE represents a multi-year partnership between nine schools in eight districts to support educators striving to ensure every RISE high school student graduates college and career ready. The Network serves more than 14,000 students and 1,000 educators in nine high schools. RISE districts and schools commit to sharing resources and expertise, pursuing innovative solutions, strengthening school and district systems, and empowering educators and leaders through continuous improvement.

A recent PD session brought educators from Norwalk together to reflect on our current district-wide data trends. Educators spent time in cross-school groups looking at district-wide data and thinking about the "strategies that are sticking" with students, and then in role-alike groups, discussed Grade 9 case studies to determine "unstuck strategies" for specific subsets of students. Lastly, they used the RISE Data Hub to create custom charts, which sparked ideas for nuanced Q3 support. Thanks to all who attended! It was a lively day of learning and collaboration at the #RISENetwork's quarterly team meeting! The RISE staff worked on deepening our collective understanding of continuous improvement, using the book "Journey to Improvement" to guide our learning. We followed this up with an immersive activity aimed at honing the continuous improvement skills we bring into our partner schools to help improve student outcomes.
