    September is National Recovery Month – an annual observance established to promote and support new evidence-based treatment and recovery practices, and to recognize the strong and proud recovery community. Most of what people know about substance use disorders has roots in discrimination and stereotypes, which can be incredibly harmful to those who are suffering.     💻 The technology industry is a challenging one – from its intense competition and long hours to heavy workloads. Employees in this rapidly changing field can experience significant pressures leading to mental health challenges. Our latest study of more than 5,800+ employees from 229 employers showed that these employees experienced higher rates of anxiety than six other major industries, including healthcare, finance and retail, restaurant and hospitality. In addition, they experienced high rates of personal stress. Both issues can greatly impact employees’ wellbeing and work productivity, as well as turnover. 🌟 The great news is that access to high-quality personalized mental health support makes a difference for these employees. Our data showed that after receiving treatment from CuraLinc’s EAP, 82% of those at risk for anxiety recovered to no longer be at risk. In addition, 91% of those with a productivity problem no longer had this problem after treatment. In fact, these employees recouped an average of 39 hours per month after treatment.     CuraLinc is excited to announce several promotions from within our operations team, effective September 2024! Christina Noval has been promoted to Training Facilitator. She shows excitement to continue to learn and build on her professional skillset. Christina brings an outgoing personality, clinical expertise, and an invaluable understanding of CuraLinc resources to her new position. We are excited for her to shine in her new role! xania wallace has been promoted to Provider Recruitment Specialist. This promotion is a direct result of the dependability, attention to detail, and proactive approach Xania demonstrated while recruiting as a Referral Specialist. We are looking forward to Xania’s contributions to our goal of continuous development of our Affiliate Network. Cristina Geer has been promoted to Critical Incident Coordinator. Cristina was chosen for her exemplary performance as a Referral Specialist. She completes her cases quickly and efficiently, always asking for more to fill her time. Her work as a Referral Specialist working with providers and Care Advocates in the clinical department gives her the unique experience that will allow her to transition to the Critical Incident Coordinator role quickly and easily. We look forward to welcoming her to the team.

    The banking and financial services industry is fast-paced and high-pressure. There’s little room for error and employees often face long hours and heavy workloads. CuraLinc’s latest study of eight major industries found that employees in the banking and financial services sector presented with higher rates of clinical anxiety than those in four other major industries, including manufacturing, transportation, retail and government. In addition, 25% met the criteria for clinical depression. The good news is that data showed clinically significant improvements after employees received high-quality personalized treatment. Among those who completed treatment through CuraLinc’s EAP, 76% recovered to no longer be at risk of anxiety, and 82% recovered to no longer be at risk of depression. In addition, those experiencing a productivity problem before starting treatment recouped an average of 39 hours per month after completing treatment.
