Today, CVS Health appointed David Joyner as President and Chief Executive Officer. David was most recently Executive Vice President, CVS Health, and President, CVS Caremark. He brings to his new role 37 years of experience in the health care industry and pharmacy benefit management business. David said: “There is no greater honor than to lead a company whose mission and purpose are completely focused on improving health. I am proud to continue working side by side with our 300,000 colleagues who are building a world of health around every consumer, and we are committed to delivering our best every day to everyone we serve.” The company and the Board also recognize the many contributions of Karen Lynch during her time as President and CEO. Executive Chairman of the Board, Roger Farah said: “We are grateful for Karen’s consistent, customer-focused leadership, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic when our pharmacies provided needed tests and vaccines. We also appreciate her work to advance our company’s modernization and transformation to become a diversified, connected, technology-driven health care provider, allowing us to do even more for the people we are privileged to serve.”
