A part-time job like no other. Team DDB and the Army National Guard are redefining part-time service with “Uncommon Is Calling” - a new campaign for young Americans seeking more than just a paycheck. They want purpose, adventure, and impact. Featuring real soldiers on real missions, Uncommon Is Calling highlights the extraordinary experiences that come with serving part-time in the Army National Guard. “The creative challenge was to show the dramatic contrast to these people’s everyday lives without condescending to the everyday. Because they’ll continue to live those lives too,” said John Carstens, Chief Creative Officer of Team DDB. “This part-time opportunity is a powerful complement, not an escape.” "Many young people are unaware that they can serve in the Army part-time," says Brig. Gen. Antoinette Gant, PMP, Chief of Army Enterprise Marketing. "To bridge this gap, 'Uncommon is Calling' offers youth a new perspective on Army service by presenting the experiences, flexibility, and local impact that can only be achieved as part of the Army National Guard." From wind to waves! 🌊🏄♂️ ACCIONA, a global leader in sustainable infrastructure and renewable energy, has teamed up with DDB Melbourne to launch the world’s first Turbine Made surfboard. In collaboration with Aussie pro surfer Josh Kerr and his team at Draft Surf, this groundbreaking initiative transforms retired turbine blades into high-performance surfboards—saving them from landfill and proving that sustainability and performance can go hand in hand. DDB Group Melbourne ECD, Giles Watson, said: “Surfers have an unbreakable bond with the environment, so creating a board from recycled turbine blades helps inspire the next generation of environmentalists. Beyond being bloody cool, this project opens the door for a wave of new possibilities with Turbine Made.” Read the full story on Little Black Book: https://lnkd.in/dFiMuy2T #DDB #TurbineMade #RideTheFuture #CreativityForGood

Your vibe attracts your tribe 💛 When asked by Campaign UK how to keep the creative fires burning in a global network, Chaka said it best—it’s all about having a strong sense of self. That’s what brings our people together: shared values, a mix of brains, heart, and energy, and the feeling of being part of something bigger. As Chaka said, “When you create those ties that bind, and make sure you uphold and live by them daily, there’s no end to how brightly the creative fires can burn.” Check out the full piece here: https://lnkd.in/emSWVu2z #DDB #Campaign #Advertising #CreativeLeadership

Bill Bernbach once said, “To work at DDB, you have to be talented and nice.” Simple, right? But it’s something we live by every day. Because talent drives change—it pushes boundaries, sparks ideas, and turns insight into impact. And nice? Nice makes it all possible. Nice builds trust, fuels collaboration, and ensures the best ideas rise to the top. We’re lucky to work alongside extraordinary individuals—brilliant, authentic, and deeply human. And what’s more special than that? Introducing Humans of DDB, a weekly series celebrating the talented, kind, and inspiring people who make up our global family. To kick things off, meet Kogina Goh, a DDBer of nearly four years, who always brings the magic, alongside her loyal companion, Floofy! 🐈✨ Get ready to meet the heart and soul behind the creativity. 💛 #DDB #HumansOfDDB #EmployeeAppreciationDay
