As a part of CommonSpirit Health, our teams focus on delivering humankindness at every touch point. Last week, on a day's notice, the staff at French Hospital Medical Center organized a wedding to fulfill the wishes of a patient battling Stage IV cancer. Tomás married his fiancée, Kassandra, during a ceremony inside the Swanson Family Chapel. “We always wanted something small – but nice,” Tomás said of the couple’s wedding plans. “We always talked about 10 or 15 people at our wedding, but now we decided to just go for it. If it wasn’t for the nurses and everyone here, we wouldn’t be married today.” #Hellohumankindness

Dignity Health California is a proud supporter of the Susan G. Komen's More Than Pink Walk honoring breast cancer survivors and fundraising for a world free of breast cancer. The team shared information on resources and services available at Dignity Health locations, and spread humankindness with giveaways. According to the American Cancer Society, about 1 in 6 cancer diagnoses in California will be attributed to breast cancer. Mammograms are the best way to find breast cancer early, when it is easier to treat. Ending breast cancer takes all of us. #BreastCancerAwareness #Hellohumankindness

Each October, the National Football League (NFL) recognizes the importance of raising awareness for cancer detection, prevention, and care. The San Francisco 49ers were joined by cancer warriors, including grateful patients from Dignity Health California, to create artwork that symbolize strength, faith and courage. The artwork was printed on custom Levi's jackets and worn to the home game at Levi's® Stadium for the team's #CrucialCatch matchup presented by Dignity Health. Thank you to the brave patients for sharing their stories, to our partners for their advocacy, and to the players for helping us Tackle Cancer. #Cancer #Oncology #CancerCare #Partnership #Hellohumankindness .

When we work together, we can achieve even more! #Hellohumankindness #CancerCare #BreastCancerAwareness #HispanicHeritageMonth #MotivationMonday
It’s another #HispanicHeritageMonth spotlight and we’re proud to introduce you to the Dignity Health Mercy & Memorial Hospitals. In 2019, funding from the Prevent Cancer Foundation helped Dignity Health expand their reach, clearing up misconceptions about breast health and sharing the need for breast health education at a younger age. Through their Community Wellness Program, Dignity Health California reached 700+ low-income, medically underserved women with free breast cancer education led by a bilingual health education coordinator. Their services are for all ages. Thank you to Dignity Health Bakersfield team for your continued dedication to reaching medically underserved Latinas with #BreastCancer education!

Dignity Health California is proud to partner with the San Francisco 49ers to kick-off October's National Football League (NFL) Crucial Catch Cancer Initiative to raise awareness around cancer detection and risk reduction. The 49ers highlighted ten cancer survivors with on field recognition, including 19 year old Natally, a grateful patient from Northridge Hospital. Each survivor wore custom Levi’s® jackets alongside players during Sunday's game at Levi's® Stadium. The jackets symbolize what strength means to the survivors, who created the designs alongside players during the team’s annual Crucial Catch Art Therapy event presented by Dignity Health. #CrucialCatch #CancerAwareness #Hellohumankindness #49ers #GoNiners
