Director.Studio is an international and independent creative practice backed by +20 years experience, with presence in NY, MIA, LDN, BA & MTY. Through our combination of skill mastery and purpose, we obsessively explore the intimate relationship between meaning and medium and deliver direction in branding & design that is not only defined by creation, but by the unveiling and highlighting of the previously unseen.     Wholesome eats, playful beats: a visual identity for a plant-based burger brand, bleding funky design elements, bold colores and farm-to-table illustrations. Our goal was to showcase how eating healthy can be cool and enjoyable, rather than boring and restrictive. By incorporating these illustrations into the brand’s packaging and marketing materials, we were able to create a consistent and cohesive visual identity that resonates with the brand’s values: Funka is not looking to promote a lifestyle or point fingers, rather to welcome everyone and reinvent the plant-based visual code.     In 2021 when CEDIM México asked us to communicate their new promise as a brand, we were ecstatic and determined. Two years later, when they reached out again to have us devise the identity of their 45th anniversary celebration, we could not have been more honored. The event was planned as both a reunion and exhibition where the work of the most outstanding students over 45 years would be displayed across seven days of a carefully planned program. Having one of Director.Studio’s own founders be part of the chosen alumni and faculty was, of course, a key emotionally strong connection to the project, now as well as two years ago, playing a crucial role in truly capturing CEDIM's spirit and vision. We were also assigned with the task of designing the event’s printed program, exhibition booths, signage, badges, inauguration ribbon, and T-shirts, all subtle sightings that needed to express the school’s impact over time.     A bastion of historic importance, once known to be Argentina's most prolific editorial house, Grand Atlantida has stood as a grand and mesmerizing icon for almost 100 years in the Monserrat neighborhood of Buenos Aires. The building, endowed with the title of historical landmark, has been repurposed as an ambitious and elegant mixed-use real estate gem. We were asked to design and create the project’s identity, to honor and clearly portray its grandeur in its naming, typeface, marketing collateral and website design. The typeface designed for the project, is one that, combined with the brochure’s design, mimics the building’s own classical style, the time periods it withstood and its materiality, placing familiarity to the new, just as the grand Atlantida project intends.
