Last week in White County, #Indiana, EDPR NA showcased its commitment to community-driven initiatives. #CommunitiesMatter 💚 Our team hosted a visit last Wednesday for 12 #students and an instructor from Ivy Tech Community College Lafayette's Energy Technology program to our Meadow Lake Wind Farm in Chalmers, IN, and NIPSCO's Indiana Crossroads Solar Park in Reynolds, NC. Matthew Myers, Andrew Magner, and Bennett Fuson from EDPR NA, along with Brian Kwiatkowski of NIPSCO, provided the students with valuable insights into wind turbine technician roles, project development, and the collaborative efforts behind Indiana Crossroads Solar Park. The visit included a tour of the solar site, where the students learned about solar operations and the impact on local agriculture. ⚡ Later that day, we also staffed a booth at the White County Fair in Reynolds, IN. Yesterday, we were proud to cut the ribbon on a significant milestone for renewable energy advancement in the state of #California. ☀⚡ Our EDPR NA team, along with Ava Community Energy and San José Clean Energy , unveiled the 200 MW solar energy park and 40 MW energy storage system in Fresno County, California, Scarlet Solar Energy Park. This state-of-the-art facility is our first in California and represents a major step in diversifying the energy mix and protecting customers from price hikes. Attendees heard from our EDPR NA EVP, Kris Cheney, along with Howard Chang, Lori Mitchell, Stephanie Doyle & Paul Nerland, in addition to enjoying tours led by our technical #cleanenergy experts. The project also received recognition from the U.S. Congress and the State Senate of California through certification proclamations, thanks to Congressman John Duarte, State Senator Anna M. Caballero & Assemblywoman Esmeralda Soria, Esq. We are proud to be a renewable energy leader in the state of California as we work toward advancing renewable energy across the state and beyond! ⚡ Today, EDPR NA is pleased to unveil its newest 200 MW solar energy project, complete with a 40 MW battery energy storage system in Fresno County, California - Scarlet Solar Energy Park. ☀🔋 Scarlet Solar Energy Park coming online is possible through the collaboration and support of our EDPR NA team members, as well as Ava Community Energy and San José Clean Energy , who both embody our commitment to clean, reliable, and affordable energy. The solar + storage facility was an industry collaboration that pulled together our valued construction and technology partners, spanning Rosendin to LG Electronics, and Nextracker Inc.. Scarlet Solar Energy Park will impact the community beyond environmental benefits. At EDPR NA, our team is dedicated to fostering a strong community connection by hosting informative and engaging events about our projects. ⚡ Last Wednesday, our #EDPRNA development team welcomed nearly 60 community members to an informative session at The Lodge at Mauston in Mauston, #Wisconsin. Our team shared project background information and renewables resources, aimed at keeping the community updated on the progress of our 225-megawatt solar park. ☀ Afterward, community members reviewed detailed posters, asked questions, and expressed concerns with our development team and other experts. To top it off, we provided refreshments and free ice cream from a local vendor. 🍦 We are grateful for Juneau County’s participation and feedback, which help us ensure our projects are beneficial and transparent, with benefits that are tied back to the community.
