  • In honor of the courageous firefighters and law enforcement officers who gave their lives during the 9/11 attacks, LION had the privilege of sponsoring and participating alongside Dayton Area firefighters in this weekend’s Stair Climb. Every step taken, every drop of sweat, and every breath was a tribute to the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice. Their bravery and dedication continue to inspire us all, and we are eternally grateful to those who risk their lives to keep our communities safe. Proceeds from the LION Gem City 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb will benefit the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF). #NeverForget #911Remembrance #Firefighters #HonorTheFallen #DaytonStrong #LION

  • Ever heard of the “gray-clad riders?” That’s how newspapers and the public referred to the New York State Police (NYSP) when the force was first established in 1917. For over 100 years, the men and women of the NYSP have proudly worn gray, symbolizing their neutrality and the impartiality of justice. The purple tie and band around their Stetson hats pays homage to the Praetorian Guard—the elite bodyguard of the Roman emperors. The black stripe on the side of their pants honors their fallen members. LION is proud to equip the New York State Police with their daily duty uniform, ensuring they can carry out their duties in comfort (and style). Photo Credit: New York State Police

  • This month, LION was incredibly proud to sponsor The Dayton Dragons Police Night! We are very proud to honor the dedication and commitment of our law enforcement officers, who work tirelessly to keep our communities safe. The evening was filled with engaging activities, kicking off with plaza events that included LION virtual firefighting simulations, exciting giveaways, and a touch-a-truck event featuring SWAT trucks, K-9 police vehicles, bomb squad vehicles, and more. It was a fantastic way for families and fans to get up close and personal with the equipment and officers that serve our community. During the game, we had a blast with the "Officer Wannabe" skit, where participants dressed up in LION's Elbeco uniforms and ran the bases. This fun-filled event highlighted the lighter side of police work and allowed everyone to celebrate the bravery and service of our local heroes. We are immensely proud to support our law enforcement officers and bring the community together for such a meaningful and memorable event. A huge thank you to everyone who participated and made The Dayton Dragons Police Night a phenomenal success!

Happy Flag Day! On this day in 1777, the Continental Congress approved the design of our national flag. To date, there have been 27 official versions of the flag, with the current version dating to July 4, 1960, after Hawaii became the fiftieth state. Photo Credit: Troy Vol. Fire Department, VT

  • People. In a word, that’s why we do what we do, why we love what we do, and why we’ve endured as a family-owned business for generations. But LION’s focus on people extends beyond our products. These past few months, our team has flown across the country to meet first responders, advocate for firefighters, and honor the memory of the fallen. One of our family owners, Andy Schwartz, wrote about what we’ve done recently to put people first. Read his blog post here: https://hubs.ly/Q02zHn5m0
