Cooking for a Cause! Kendrick and Genius were awarded the Emeril Lagasse Foundation Scholarship at NOCHI through our Community Grants program. During their Baking & Pastry Arts curriculum, they presented Smore’s & Cafe au Lait Ice-cream, Matcha & Passionfruit Panna Cotta, and Corn Cake with blueberry thyme compote, corn ice cream, pistachio crumble. Katie Mularz has been promoted to Chief Impact Officer, where she will continue to drive our mission and expand the reach of our programs. Celeste Baer has been promoted to Chief Advancement Officer, leading our development strategy and building strong partnerships to ensure the sustainability of our initiatives. Sarah Montgomery has been promoted to Director of Events, where her creativity and attention to detail will continue to elevate our signature events. We’re excited to announce a $50,000 Cultivator Grant to Partners for Education, Agriculture, and Sustainability (PEAS) in Austin, TX! 🌱 This grant will bring hands-on cooking education to 400 K-5 students across five Austin ISD schools, building on our impact where we established Emeril's Culinary Garden & Teaching Kitchen at Cunningham Elementary. 🍴 We're expanding our reach and helping kids learn, connect, and grow as leaders. Another teacher training for Emeril's Culinary Garden & Teaching Kitchen is in the books.📚K-8 Teachers from Ochsner Discovery took part in a full-day training where they learned how gardening and cooking lessons can be used to support classroom instruction for math, science, social studies, language and writing.
