One of my favorite things to do is facilitate great leaders and their teams in their development, growth and visioning for the future. Engage Dallas is one of those organizations that I am fortunate to facilitate for their class year. This past weekend we welcomed our next class, Class #11. These leaders have something to say and want to make impact through their civic engagement in Dallas County. I look forward to walking with these leaders in 2024. Let's do this Class #11. I had an amazing time at this weekend’s Engage Dallas Class 11 Retreat! In addition to bonding with our cohort, we heard from a remarkable group of local leaders and took a tour of significant locations in Dallas’ history including Martyrs Park, Freedman’s Cemetery, the Santos Rodriguez memorial, and the Juanita Craft House. I’ve already learned a lot and we’ve only scratched the surface. I can’t wait to continue on this journey with my classmates - counting the days until April!

The Engage Dallas approach to building connection and community was evident in every moment of our time together. Our experience was rooted in understanding the history of Dallas, the impact and legacy of the Mayor's Star Council (now Engage Dallas), and building our understanding of ourselves as leaders.
