On Monday, we hosted our second installment of "Ennead in Dialogue," our new salon series here at Ennead Architects. The topic was "Brains to Bricks: How Neuroscience is Redefining Real Estate" and we invited design journalist Diana Budds to lead a conversation between real estate developer Ellen Buckley, architect and designer Suchi Reddy, FAIA, and cognitive scientist Dr. Andrea Chiba. The Delacorte Theater in New York, renowned for hosting Shakespeare in the Park, has been undergoing a significant renovation led by Ennead Architects that will enhance accessibility, improve backstage operations, and update the theater's façade. A notable feature of the renovation is the use of recycled redwood from decommissioned water towers which will form a new mass timber façade surrounding the stage. The reopening this August will be marked by a star-studded production of "Twelfth Night." Ennead Principal Jarrett Pelletier will co-present the Future Milwaukee Public Museum at the 2025 Building Museums Symposium in St. Louis, Missouri, March 5-7, hosted by the Mid-Atlantic Association of Museums. The future museum will be presented alongside significant cultural projects such as Obama Presidential Center, The Met, and The Frick Collection. The presentation, "Designing to a Place: Architecture and Exhibit Design for the New Milwaukee Public Museum," will explore how the museum's design process has been meticulously tuned to engage Milwaukee's and Wisconsin's rich heritage. The design team's transformative approach harmonizes site, building, and exhibit design to tell the story of a place deeply rooted in cultural and natural history.
