Anchored by a grocer and positioned at a major entrance to the West University neighborhood, Plaza in the Park recently competed a full modernization to include building facade upgrades and paint, new enhanced lighting, a common gathering and play area, as well as new landscaping. New tenants include Craft Pita, Face Foundrie, and beloved restaurants by Adair Concepts including Los Tios and Adair Kitchen. It’s great to see a renewed destination, completed by EDENS, in one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods.

At La Cosecha, we celebrate VOCES LATINAS every single day! 🎉 Since we opened in 2019, La Cosecha ("the harvest") has become a lively culinary and artisan destination in Washington, DC; home of 14 talented chefs and retail partners who represent more than 10 Latin American countries. Here's what makes La Cosecha even more special: every time you make a purchase here, you're not just treating yourself to something delicious or beautiful, you're also making a positive impact. A portion of every purchase goes directly to the La Cosecha Foundation, which supports nonprofit organizations that are dedicated to strengthening Latin American communities and creating more economic opportunities. We're thrilled to support the Latino Economic Development Center (LEDC) as our chosen beneficiary. Based in DC, LEDC is on a mission to empower low to moderate income Latinos and other underserved communities in the DMV and Puerto Rico. They equip individuals with the skills, tools, and resources they need to achieve financial independence and become leaders in their own communities.

"A big part in our special sauce is around the merchandizing of retailers and the playing off of one with others. So we see that as a big opportunity (at Downtown), where you have a great base of really productive anchors," Shiman said. It's official! EDENS is the new owner of Downtown Palm Beach Gardens, in the heart of the north county. Redevelopment and new leasing efforts are already underway! Go team. https://lnkd.in/eKNWxtDV

Congratulations to Farmers Market Coalition for 25 years of Farmers Market Week, coming up on August 4! 🥬 Seven of our places host weekly farmers markets—some of them year-round. Growers selling locally create thirteen full-time farm operator jobs per $1 million in revenue earned. Those that do not sell locally create only three. Farmers markets are the heart of our local food systems. They’re not just about fresh produce, but also about learning, growing and working together. These markets are created with the community in mind, bringing together market operators, farmers, shoppers and neighbors to meet our evolving needs. Check out and support your local market at Strawberry Village, Alamo Shopping Center, Freshfields Village, Mosaic District, Union Market District, Cabin John Village and Atherton. https://lnkd.in/e8JzjMcN
