Working Together for Lasting Change
About us
For over 80 years, Episcopal Relief & Development has worked with an extensive network of faith and community partners to advance lasting change in communities affected by injustice, poverty, disaster and climate change. Inspired by our faith, we reach over three million people each year by focusing on four interconnected priorities: nurturing the potential of caregivers and young children, reducing violence against women and girls, strengthening communities’ resilience to climate change and facilitating humanitarian response to disasters. Together with our partners, we leverage what’s working well to drive impact, learning and sustainability. Together, we create lasting change. Join us.

🗺️ Explore the Episcopal Asset Map 📌 The Episcopal Asset Map is an opportunity to highlight the ways Episcopalians are living out Christ’s love in our communities. Through the map, you can search ministries and tell the story of your congregation, school or other Episcopal community. What started as a disaster preparedness tool is being used in many ways: from a Find-a-church to a congregational development tool, the Asset Map is helping us live out our call as Christians in new ways. Here at Episcopal Relief & Development, we still utilize this tool for building resilience in communities and responding to disasters. https://lnkd.in/e_SC5xGT #EpiscopalRelief

“We are proud of this response in partnership with HOPE Africa because they are present and active in communities that are the most in need and because this partnership highlights the power of faith institutions. The church is far-reaching and impactful. Through grass-roots networks, ministries and government connections, they are able to identify the most in need when disasters strike.” - Nagulan Nesiah, Senior Program Officer, Episcopal Relief & Development Read more about our partnership in South Africa to respond to devastating flooding and winds: https://lnkd.in/ePKQMfkB #EpiscopalRelief

It was a bittersweet pleasure to hear from Rachel Carnegie as she steps down as the Executive Director at the Anglican Alliance. All of us Episcopal Relief & Development are deeply grateful to her for her ministry and wish her well. No one has embodied Working Together for Lasting Change more than Rachel. #lastingchange

This #GrandparentsDay, we celebrate individuals like Laban and Jane. They are grandparents living in a small farming town in western Kenya. To help their adult daughter, who is pursuing a degree in business at a local college, they became the primary caregivers for their daughter’s infant child. To ensure their granddaughter gets the care needed, they both participate in Moments That Matter®️, Episcopal Relief & Development’s transformative program partnership in early childhood development implemented with ADS-NYANZA. This morning, I wore my back-to-school clothes and joined the great and the good of NYC's business and policy community at the Council on Foreign Relations to hear from John Williams, President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. His word of the day was "equipoise." His view is that price stability (inflation) and labor force participation (unemployment) are moving into balance. While we all benefit from low inflation and low unemployment, the most vulnerable amongst us benefit the most. That's good news for those we seek to serve at Episcopal Relief & Development, wherever they are in the world. #EpiscopalRelief
