👀 Many of our crews in VA have had to climb poles the old-fashioned way to make repairs that can’t be reached by a bucket. Here they had to wade across a shallow river to get to a pole that needed work. After carrying equipment to the site, they pulled it up with a rope.

Here’s a bird’s eye view of our crews at work near Mendota, VA. Most of the work we’ve helped with has been on infrastructure that’s off-road. Crews encountered very rough and steep terrain while removing trees and climbing multiple poles to reattach conductors. In this case, the line goes up a mountain to feed a cell tower and a fire tower, so it was critical for many emergency and state services in the area.
