Empowering underserved children, youth and their families to break the cycle of poverty.
About us
Fabretto is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to educate and empower underserved children, youth, and their families to enable them to improve their livelihoods and their communities. nspired by the legacy of Padre Fabretto, we envision a world where all children and adolescents have meaningful opportunities to grow and learn, in communities that offer access to quality education, so that they may reach their full potential. For over 65 years, Fabretto has been building relationships in Central America and beyond in order to provide hope and a better future to the children and youth in need. We believe in the power of partnerships and that working together with families, communities, and local partners creates sustainable change. As we move into Fabretto’s next chapter, we are leveraging decades of experience implementing innovative grassroots education and development programs in Nicaragua to impact communities in neighboring countries in Central America by strengthening the capacities of the organizations we serve.

We did it! Thanks to everyone from Spain and the US who supported our campaign. We raised $27,907 and helped our partner Ak'Tenamit build a dining hall for 365 girls in Río Dulce, Guatemala. The girls have already started helping build the dining hall and are ready to enjoy the space to eat nutritious meals, have activities, and build their dreams.

On May 27 we joined our partner Bayan for a Summit in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. The event celebrated 50 years of the impact of the SAT: Sistema de Aprendizaje Tutorial (Tutorial Learning System) program, in Honduras and the region. We had the opportunity to share experiences with government authorities, civil society, academics, and the educational community, with the participation of friends from Colombia, Guatemala, Nicaragua, the United States, and more. Special thanks to the Inter-American Foundation and UNICEF for supporting this event.
