Work on the LP1 project in Lebanon, Indiana, is advancing with the installation of siding and glazing on the pharmaceutical facility’s central utilities building (CUB). Fluor designed the CUB and is managing the construction. The work is approximately 75 percent complete and will continue for the next couple of months. Getting this building dried-in before winter is an important step for the project. #BuildingABetterWorld

We’re proud to work with Centrus Energy Corp. in its effort to restore America's domestic uranium enrichment capacity as its engineering, procurement and construction contractor. High-Assay, Low-Enriched Uranium (HALEU) is a critical component in the carbon-free energy mix. #BuildingABetterWorld
NEWS: Centrus just won an award from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for production of High-Assay, Low-Enriched Uranium (HALEU). The award could support a potential expansion of the American Centrifuge Plant in Piketon, Ohio. Centrus began first-of-a-kind HALEU production in Piketon last year; it is the only U.S. enrichment facility licensed to produce HALEU. We could bring significant new capacity online within 42 months of receiving the necessary funding and continue expanding beyond that as needed. Centrus (via our subsidiary, American Centrifuge Operating, LLC) was one of four awardees today, with a minimum contract value of $2 million and a maximum value for all awardees of $2.7 billion over a ten-year period. The ultimate dollar amount associated with this award -- and the potential scale of the expansion supported -- will depend upon task orders subsequently issued to Centrus by the Department. We will manufacture the centrifuges and supporting equipment exclusively in the United States, relying upon domestic engineering and a domestic supply chain that currently spans 14 major, American-owned suppliers in 13 states and is expected to grow. Fluor Corporation will serve as our engineering, procurement, and construction contractor for the project. Other key suppliers include: Curtiss-Wright Corporation Geiger Brothers, Inc. The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has approved Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure, LLC (H2C) – a joint venture led by a subsidiary of BWX Technologies, Inc., with Fluor and Amentum – to begin the Hanford Integrated Tank Disposition Contract.
