We’re excited to announce our paper, “A 316MP, 120FPS, High Dynamic Range CMOS Image Sensor for Next Generation Immersive Displays,” which provides details on the image sensor we helped develop alongside Sphere Entertainment Co. for their Big Sky camera system, has recently appeared in several cinematography and industry publications. Big Sky is the world's most advanced camera system and is used to capture ultra-high-resolution content for Sphere in Las Vegas. The paper presents the world’s largest cinema camera sensor in commercial use – a 2D-stitched, high-frame rate and 316-megapixel CMOS image sensor that can capture video at 18k × 18k resolution.
