Thank you to our friends at Cofertility and &Mother for shining a light on a story we hear too often: "I am concerned about my fertility, And I need more information about my options." Their study with female athletes was another data point for this reality: we need a change. We need better options for women to build the families they want. We're with you! That's why we do what we do at Frame. Please check out the link below to learn more about this study and campaign including how you can get involved. #infertility #LevelThePlayingField #fertility

Half of women in the U.S. are skipping or delaying medical care. Deloitte’s recent analysis highlights that access challenges, such as long wait times and transportation issues, are significant barriers. And we're hearing this more and more from our patients and friends, especially as the flu season hits on top of everything else. At Frame, we recognize these hurdles. Balancing work, family, and personal commitments makes attending in-person appointments challenging especially when compounded with long wait times to even get those annual check-ins, etc. That’s where virtual care solutions like ours truly extend and ensure care, bringing it directly to patients. Meeting patients where they are - after hours, on weekends, on their commute home. #WomenInHealth #VirtualCare #ReproductiveHealth

I may have been wrong about the rain at #JPM2025, but I was absolutely right about the tone of last week. After four JPMs, this one was my favorite, and here’s why: 1️⃣ Women’s Health Was Everywhere Next to AI, women’s health felt like THE theme of the week—and I’m here for it. Three years ago, there was one women’s health event. This year? Over 20 including one of my favorites, an amazing Napa event hosted by Springboard Enterprises and Snatch Health. While progress is clear, there was a healthy recognition that we still have a long way to go. In particular, women’s health still receives just 2% of VC funding, and all-male teams are 4x more likely to be funded than those with even one female leader—even though 76% of women’s health companies are founded by women. It’s energizing to see the momentum, AND we must keep pushing forward. 2️⃣ “Old” Connections Matter Two of my top moments: reconnecting with Trenor Williams, my boss from 20 years ago, and finally meeting Rachel Lee, who I met and mentored over five years ago. These moments reminded me of the power of relationships and the incredible people who’ve shaped my journey. 3️⃣ Founders = My Fuel What started as an idea in mid-December turned into an incredible event with 100+ founders, investors, and partners. A huge shoutout to Priyanka Jain, Lyndsey Harper, MD, FACOG, IF, Meghan Doyle, Kara Egan, and Jodi Neuhauser for co-hosting this gathering. I somehow had zero coffee at the event but was buzzing with energy and inspiration. Talking with other founders continues to be a critical pillar of my founder journey, and I couldn’t have felt more grateful to have spent time with so many over the last week. More, please! 😊 With this energy at my back, I’m feeling jazzed for the year ahead. Here’s to more progress, more collaboration, and more impact in 2025! 💪✨ #womenshealth #fertility #infertility

A heartfelt thank you to the 125+ investors, founders, partners, and women’s health advocates who joined us at our #JPM Brunch Event last week! The room was truly buzzing with energy, ideas, and a spirit of collaboration—and we’re here for all of it. A special shoutout to our amazing co-hosts: Meghan Doyle at Partum Health, Kara Egan at Teal Health, Lyndsey Harper, MD, FACOG, IF at Rosy Wellness, Priyanka Jain at Evvy, and Jodi Neuhauser at In Women's Health. We’re also deeply grateful to our sponsors, All Spaces, LLC, and to our incredible guest speaker, California Surgeon General Dr. Diana E. Ramos . It was an honor to have you help us set the tone for an inspiring and impactful gathering. Here’s to building momentum and advancing together in 2025! 💪✨

Our CEO, Jessica Bell van der Wal, like many of our members, understands that navigating infertility and fertility treatments is no small challenge. Research by Alice Domar highlights this further, showing that the psychological impact of an infertility diagnosis can be as profound as receiving a cancer diagnosis. It’s overwhelming, and that’s why Frame exists—to provide emotional and social support early and throughout the journey. In an article with Authority Magazine, Jessica shares more about this, including five tips for those diagnosed with infertility or undergoing fertility treatment. Read her interview with Lucinda Koza in the comments. #infertility #fertility #mentalhealth

🌟 Once in a while, the universe gives you exactly what you need. 👩⚕️ I am lucky to serve as an advisor to a couple of digital health companies. One of those companies, Frame, is led by the incredible Jessica Bell van der Wal. Each year at JPM Health Innovators, she co-hosts an event. 🍊 It’s one of the best things I’ve been to in a long time. Over the past few years, thanks to this work, we are seeing some amazing innovation in women's health. I think when I was last pregnant (dark ages, 13 years ago), “innovation” was a weekly email that told you the size of your growing fetus. One week, “It’s a peanut,” a few weeks later, “It’s a kumquat.” There is so much more now, for every life stage and every need. Here are the companies I learned about today: In Women's Health is a community for accelerating women’s health careers. Founded by Jodi Neuhauser, In Women’s Health has a mini MBA, newsletter, and Job listings. Are you looking for a job in the women’s health space? Start here. Evvy, a vaginal microbiome test that you take at home. This test helps you diagnose things like yeast infections and recurrent UTIs. There are also links between your vaginal microbiome and infertility, preterm birth, and more. The female body shouldn’t be a medical mystery! Thank you Priyanka Jain for all your work at Evvy! Rosy Wellness is a sexual health app developed by doctors and psychologists. Scroll through their short lessons (called Quickies!), get a custom plan for health needs, or connect with a community for support. Curious? Try their sex-positive, female-focused erotic stories free for a month! Thank you to founder Lyndsey Harper, MD, FACOG, IF for this incredible work. Partum Health founded by Meghan Doyle is the wrap-around pregnancy and post-partum care service that I tried to piece together for myself when my kids were newborns. From doula support, to PT, mental health and Lactation, Partum improves health outcomes, and lets you focus on the joys. Teal Health has an at home cervial cancer screening test that replaces the need to do an in-office pap smear. If you love the stirrups, speculum, and the hospital gown, that will still be there for you. For the rest of us, Teal offers options! Thanks to Kara Egan for making life better for us all! And finally, Frame, a wrap-around care service that supports family-building journeys with a care team, personalized plan, and care co-ordination. Fertility care is complex, and specialists have so little time to address the confusing and difficult circumstances that patients face. Frame supports both the patients and the doctors, creating a better experience and better outcomes for everyone. I’m so proud to be a small part of their team. Thank you Jessica! This group of women was exactly what I needed after all of the 'masculine energy' in the news the past few days. THANK YOU ALL for doing what you do. #JPM2025 #femtech #womenshealth #womenshealthinnovation

Come meet the Frame team including our CEO, Jessica Bell van der Wal, during JPM next week! Email hello@frameyourfuture.com to schedule a meeting or to inquire about our women's health innovation event.
The new year always seems to roar in with a quick pivot straight into the J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference. Selfishly, I’m thrilled—it’s one of the rare times a major conference / event doesn’t require cross-country travel for me 😊 So if you’re in town, please reach out. And with that in mind and quite a few intense JPMs under my belt, I thought I’d share some quick tips for any first timers: 🌧️ Plan for rain: Yes, I’ve seen the same sunny forecast for next week, but trust me—it almost always rains during JPM. Plan accordingly, especially when it comes to shoes. 🗺️ Map your meetings beforehand: Speaking of shoes, you’ll likely be walking—a lot. Opt for footwear that can handle long distances (and maybe a few SF hills). Also, nothing is as close as it seems. Meetings are scattered all over the city, so map them out in advance to gauge travel times and decide when to walk or grab a car. ⏱️ Prioritize your “Top 10.” If your calendar looks like mine, things will overlap, and it’s unlikely you’ll make it to everything. For folks you casually told, “Let’s catch up at the happy hour,” that probably won’t happen. My strategy? Lock in the 10 most important meetings first—don’t leave them to chance. Then, layer in ad hoc meetups, happy hours, and extras. ⏸️ Take breaks. Last year, one of my favorite moments was grabbing a quick solo meal at the bar after three back-to-back happy hours. I met two new people, reflected on the day, took notes, and mapped out a plan for the next. Whether scheduled or serendipitous, don’t forget to pause, breathe, eat, and hydrate. 🛑 Don’t let FOMO win. If you haven’t booked anything yet and are feeling FOMO, I’d recommend sitting this one out. At this stage, travel and accommodations are pricey, and there’s always another conference on the horizon— ViVE is just a month or two away, right? 🙌 Bonus note 🙌 : This year, I’m counting 15+ #womenshealth events at JPM (including one we at Frame are co-hosting with some amazing partners—DM me for details), and I am HERE FOR IT. Let’s do this!!! Looking forward to seeing many of you next week. Sharing a throwback to last year’s fantastic happy hour event (photo below). Look forward to making this one just as memorable!

This has been quite the year. Many moments have tested me as a person, a mom and an entrepreneur. There have been weeks and even months where I’ve been exhausted and challenged beyond anything I have experienced before. Yet, I am concluding this year filled with hope. Why? I’ll give you three examples: 1. Our people: Like any company, we have experienced transitions and those have not always been easy but with this comes new growth. From long-time employees stepping into new leadership roles like Sophie Dornstreich, MSW, NBC-HWC and Jaimie Rose, to finally bringing on board those who we’ve been talking to for months if not years like Kate Santucci and Pouneh Alizadeh. And then there are those serendipitous moments that bring us to amazing candidates like Maria Gorman and Cindy W. Lin, MPH (photo from our in-person huddle…full team photo coming in Q1). They bring with them new learnings, ideas and creativity, and I am loving every minute of it. 2. A business inflection point: B2B isn’t easy, D2C isn’t easy, B2B2C is an interesting combination of not easy. My prior jobs taught me this first hand...and that the moment it “clicks” can take longer than expected. So to see our original partners expand to national contracts and a new world open up with our fertility clinic partners is exhilarating. And we are ready! 3. The talent flooding into women’s health: When we opened some of our new roles at Frame, we were swarmed with INCREDIBLE resumes. I am still digging out of the inbound messages and emails we received. And while I sadly couldn’t get to all of them, I was blown away by the talent and most importantly, the stories of why people want to work in women’s health. I have never been more inspired and energized for our industry. Case and point: I just had a phone call with a junior at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health (go tarheels!), and she won a pitch competition seeking solutions for endometriosis. Here 👏 for 👏this 👏! Onwards with hope…but first, we rest 🙂 Happy holidays and thank you to all of you out there that have supported me and our mission at Frame!
