Does Frame continue supporting patients who need fertility treatment? Absolutely! Frame’s proactive approach involves partnering with Obgyns and primary care doctors to identify patients who may need fertility treatment early on. This early intervention allows a seamless transition and gets patients on the right path ASAP, with an initial intake, testing and patient education already completed before this hand-off. We’re actively expanding our network of fertility clinic partners and providing hands-on, concierge support to patients throughout their fertility journey. Our primary goal with these partnerships is RETENTION, from potential new patient to treatment completion and back around to their Obgyn for timely prenatal care. To learn more about how Frame is revolutionizing fertility care, check out our blog post (linked in the comments). We care about PCOS! 👇👏👇

    Co-Founder + CEO @ Frame | Fertility & Women's Health | Angel Investor

“You have cysts on your ovaries…likely the reason for your infertility…” That’s all I heard when I was first diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). Cysts. Infertility. Both felt terrifying. But surprisingly, my PCOS diagnosis provided clarity in our journey, ultimately helping us get pregnant. What I learned later was even more shocking: (1) PCOS is both common and under-diagnosed: 10-13% of reproductive-aged women have it, similar to the prevalence of diabetes, yet estimates reveal that 50-70% go undiagnosed. (2) PCOS impacts both physical and emotional health: It's linked to depression, anxiety, body image issues (often leading to eating disorders), heart disease, diabetes, hypertension and high cholesterol. (3) PCOS remains poorly understood: As a syndrome, its root causes are unclear, despite its wide-reaching impact. It’s a clear victim of underfunding in women’s health research (just 3% of 2023 digital health VC funding, and 4% of healthcare R&D). At Frame, we’re working to uncover and address the root causes of fertility challenges, including PCOS, but this is just the start. We need far more funding, innovation, and support for conditions like PCOS. If we care about diabetes, we must care about PCOS.  If we care about mental health, we must care about PCOS.  If we care about women's health and families, we must care about PCOS. #infertility #fertility #pcosawarenessmonth #pcos PCOS Awareness Association PCOS Challenge: The National Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Association #womenshealth

In a recent article, Owen Tripp aptly described the demise of Telehealth 1.0 and why it's actually a good thing. We couldn't agree more. As Tripp points out, telehealth must evolve beyond simple phone / video consults or app-based services. And that's why at Frame, we're committed to redefining the telehealth experience. To successfully shape the future of healthcare, telehealth needs to: 👩⚕️ Personalize care and increase access: For us, that means starting with a digital intake that creates your action plan, care team and next steps. Live virtual visits and on-demand support ensure easy access whenever needed. 🎢 Support physical AND mental health: We recognize the importance of both during a  high stress journey like family building. Each patient / couple gets their own  dedicated care team including a mental wellness coach, and we collaborate with partners like Seven Starling and LunaJoy for  more complex needs. ✅ Connect to all healthcare settings: Virtual through Frame ☑ + in-person  through our PCP, Obgyn and fertility clinic partners ☑ ☑ ☑ And we agree, Owen: “That’s the experience people need, want, and deserve, and it’s already here.” https://lnkd.in/ga3xgh6R #telehealth #virtualcare #fertility

Frame provides meaningful support to donor egg intended parents! In Part 3 of our “Building Your Family Through Egg Donation” series, Sam Marple, Co-President of Fairfax EggBank and Frame CEO and Co-Founder, Jessica Bell van der Wal, talk about some of the challenges intended parents face and what types of support they need. Intended parents often struggle with: 💜Grief and loss related to not being able to use their own eggs 💜Deciding about genetic connection and disclosure to their child 💜Finding an egg donor with the right characteristics, especially for people of color And here’s how Frame can support intended parents: 💜Emotional support: Intended parents often experience grief, loss, and isolation. Having a supportive community and access to mental health resources is crucial for navigating this journey. 💜Educational resources: Providing information and trusted guidance can empower intended parents to make informed decisions and feel more confident in their family building journey. 💜Personalized support: A dedicated, board-certified fertility coach offers a safe space for emotional processing, personalized support, and practical guidance, helping intended parents feel less alone. We’re big fans of the Inside Reproductive Health podcast (thank you, Griffin Jones!) and especially loved the recent episode featuring Kate Ryder from Maven Clinic, where she discusses the impact of coaching on fertility outcomes. Our perspective on this episode and the vital role of coaches: ✅ A Holistic Care Team: Like Maven, we believe in the immense value of having a coach as part of the broader care team supporting the patient. Coaches play a crucial role in improving patient engagement by offering relatable, empathetic support. They reinforce evidence-based methodologies shared by clinicians, providing check-ins, empathetic feedback, and helping patients stay on track. 🏥 Extending Care Beyond the Clinic: Coaches are particularly valuable in supporting patients between in-person visits. Our health doesn’t adhere to a Monday-Friday, 8-5 schedule, so coaches can offer live or asynchronous support seven days a week. With our OB/GYN and fertility clinic partners, coaches ensure follow-through on next steps—whether it's completing a pre-consult checklist or reminding patients of their Monday 9am ultrasound appointment. We’ve seen no-show rates drop by 78% when coaches are integrated into patients' care plans! 😣 Reducing Stress and Dropout Rates: Most importantly, coaches provide essential emotional and mental wellness support, helping patients stay engaged and reducing fertility treatment dropout rates. The fertility journey is filled with challenges, and coaches help patients feel less alone and more understood along the way. Coaches are a critical piece of the puzzle in improving patient retention and outcomes at every stage of the journey. We’re thrilled to see their impact highlighted in this podcast by one of our favorite partners in the space. Onwards, together! Please find the episode link in comments.
