I think this story might be sweeter than the peach pie it features, but I’ll include both the story and the recipe so you can judge for yourself. One of the residents at Garden Spot Village shared her delicious peach pie recipe with the community, and they decided to surprise her by recreating it. Her pie was featured in their dessert case during Peach Week, and all three pies sold immediately. She was so thrilled and wanted all of her friends to have some. This story highlights the strong sense of belonging and connection that exists in our Senior Living Communities. It's satisfying to know that we're contributing to spaces where people can create lasting memories together. #seniors #retirement #positivevibes Sodexo Sodexo USA Garden Spot Communities

We're thrilled to announce a new partnership between Pathways Homeschool and Meadow View at Garden Spot Village! Starting this month, 8th grade students will engage with our residents living with dementia, creating meaningful intergenerational connections. After receiving specialized training, these compassionate young individuals will visit monthly to share time, stories, and activities with our residents. This collaboration fosters understanding, empathy, and joy for everyone involved. We can't wait to see the beautiful relationships that will blossom through this initiative! #intergenerational #IntergenerationalConnections #CommunityMatters #GardenSpotVillage

Happy Fourth of July! 🎇🎉 As we celebrate, let’s honor those who have served to protect our freedoms. Today, we'd like to share a heartwarming story about Traci Leed, Sodexo Dining Supervisor at Garden Spot Village and her thoughtful act of kindness and respect for our veterans. Traci crochets beautiful afghans as a symbol of gratitude for those who have served our country. One of the residents, Tom Gasbarro, who served in the Navy from 1958-1962, was deeply touched when Traci presented him with her handmade afghan, creating a moment of joy and gratitude. Traci’s gesture goes beyond crocheting; it’s about uniting generations. With several family members, including a son, who have served, Traci truly understands the value of honoring our veterans. The afghans she creates are more than just blankets; they are symbols of honor and respect. This Fourth of July, let’s take a moment to appreciate acts of kindness like Traci's, and honor the heroes in our communities. Thank you, Traci, for reminding us of the importance of showing gratitude to our military and veterans. #SodexoUSA #FourthOfJuly #Military #Veterans

Last Saturday, Garden Spot Village hosted a summer fair, bringing together team members, residents and the children in their lives for a day of joy and connection. Despite the heat in Lancaster County, refreshing watermelon and popsicles kept everyone cool and cheerful. It is always a privilege to witness intergenerational connections flourishing, with children engaging with their parents, grandparents, great-grandparents and family friends. The excitement was all around as everyone enjoyed a magic show, face painting, a reptile show from Refreshing Mountain and much more. Thank you to everyone who braved the heat to kick off summer with us and celebrate the power of community and family connections. #intergenerational #StartOfSummer #LivingInCommunity #Community
