About us

At GroundED K12, we're on a mission to transform education through engaging, culturally relevant, and academically enriching resources and experiences. Founded by Taylor Alston and Dr. Rolandria Justice-Emengua, both Black mothers, former school leaders, and teachers, our work is driven by a passion for empowering students to explore the worlds of STEM and cultural studies. With a focus on fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning, we strive to provide innovative educational solutions that inspire students to reach their full potential. As an Innovative Learning Strategist, Taylor Alston brings over two decades of experience in the K12 sector. Taylor has led transformative efforts by collaborating with students, parents, and educators to achieve measurable outcomes and ensure student success. With expertise in professional development, collaboration, and program development, Taylor is committed to driving educational justice and equity through innovative solutions. Dr. Rolandria Justice-Emengua is an accomplished Educational Leader with a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and over 20 years of experience in teaching, school leadership, and educational consulting. With a proven track record in developing and executing leadership development programs, enhancing instructional practices, and fostering professional growth in educators and leaders, Rolandria is dedicated to promoting educational excellence and organizational growth. Together, Taylor and Rolandria have established GroundED K12 to empower students and their families to explore STEM and cultural studies with curiosity, creativity, and confidence.
