We all love soaking up the summer sunshine, but it's important to protect yourself from the sun's harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays. During #UVSafetyAwarenessMonth in July, remember these tips: *Seek shade, especially during peak UV hours (10 am - 4 pm). *Apply sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher, and reapply every two hours. *Cover up with protective clothing, sunglasses, and a hat. ️ We're here to help you stay healthy all summer long. Schedule an appointment with a Harbor Health clinician today. #SummerSafety #SkinCancerPrevention #harborhealth #primarycarephysician

Welcome to Harbor Health, an entirely new multi-specialty clinic group in Austin, TX.
About us
Why Harbor? Here, flourishing is everything. Simply put: you’re a person, not a patient. And we all want to get and stay healthy — but the current way doesn’t make us feel part of the process. Start your health journey with us and you won’t have to go it alone. We’ll collaborate to make the right choices along the way — from where you get your care (a clinic, your office, your home, a mobile office) to how we help you get and stay well. That’s the co-creation of health.

Menopause and memory -- A recent study helps support the role of estrogen in mood and cognitive issues. The study showed an increase in estrogen receptors in specific areas of the brain where there are certain changes during menopause. Harbor Health internal medicine physician Dr. Sonia Durairaj is a certified menopause practitioner (Menopause Society) and offers her feedback on the study. "This is the first in vivo study (in a living being) to help support that there may be an organic reason for the neurocognitive issues that arise during menopause stages," says Dr. Durairaj. "This study shows those neurocognitive issues truly may be caused by something happening 'in our head.'" Make an appointment with one of our primary care clinicians who can work alongside you on your health journey, during any stage of life. #harborhealth #menopause #menopausespecialist #austintx #kyletx #roundrocktx https://lnkd.in/dKHCbRMH

Thanks to Spectrum News 1 Texas for sharing the story of Camilla's long journey with the rare disorder Superior Mesenteric Artery Syndrome or SMAS. Our Harbor Health Team surrounds and supports her with care. She says she owes her physical and mental health to the whole health team, including a pediatrician, nurse, health coach, specialists, and others. She just graduated from high school and has big dreams of working in the medical field to help other kids like herself. #harborhealth #healthcoach #pediatrician #nurse #healthteam #arttherapy #SMAS https://lnkd.in/gPT4vDhu
