  • We appreciate our volunteers' generosity, and we know ten incoming college freshmen who appreciate their generosity, too! Each year, the volunteers at TriStar Horizon Medical Center select ten graduating seniors who wish to pursue healthcare-related careers from Creek Wood and Dickson County to award scholarships, totaling $10,000. “TriStar Horizon is committed to supporting the growing healthcare needs in our community. I appreciate our volunteers for generously investing in the future generation of our workforce,” said TriStar Horizon Medical Center CEO Cindy Bergmeier. "I am confident the future of healthcare is in good hands with these bright minds." Read more about the students who were selected this year: https://lnkd.in/gZDGbDYS #FutureOfHealthcare

  • The Children’s Hospital At TriStar Centennial held their 2024 NICU reunion and welcomed back NICU graduates and their families last month. Featuring an Under the Sea theme, the precious graduates were welcomed by The Little Mermaid's Ariel and Eric along with other well-known friends. The kids were able to reunite with their doctors and nurses and bounce in the “underwater” bounce houses. Best of all, faces were painted and many balloon sea creatures were created! We are proud to watch some of our littlest patients grow and cannot wait to see them all next year. They are a part of our world forever! 🧜♀️🐠 #NICUReunion2024

  • This summer, we proudly welcomed a group of talented high school students to TriStar Skyline Medical Center for a behind-the-scenes look into the healthcare field! 🏥 These bright students, from several Nashville area high schools, explored their interest in healthcare careers. They had the opportunity to shadow various hospital departments and hear directly from our physicians, nurses and leaders. We hope these future healthcare professionals enjoyed the experience as much as we did over the three days this past June. They have a bright future ahead! 😎 #HealthierTomorrows #FutureOfHealthcare

  • We are excited to announce the opening of our new location of the Centers for Clinical Advancement in Nashville, TN! Since 2019, HCA Healthcare has invested approximately $46 million to open new Centers for Clinical Advancement, with a current footprint of more than fifteen locations nationwide. The new location for the TriStar Division’s Center for Clinical Advancement offers additional space and the newest technology in a central location. Located in the heart of Nashville, this facility provides training for TriStar Health hospitals across Tennessee and southern Kentucky. The TriStar Division Center for Clinical Advancement is designed to bridge the gap between the classroom and bedside through practice-based instruction. The center uses leading technology and specialized manikins to simulate real-life scenarios nurses may experience at the bedside. State-of-the-art technology at the center also gives students opportunities to learn from clinical experts across the nation, and to record their simulations to play back scenarios and debrief with colleagues and trained facilitators to further advance their learning. Join us in celebrating the opening of our new facility! We look forward to fostering the development of nurses and medical professionals in the years ahead. #FutureOfHealthcare #HealthierTomorrows

  • Meet, Dalton! Dalton is 19 months old and was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in March. Neuroblastoma is a rare form of pediatric cancer. Dalton’s mom, Elizabeth, is an HCA Healthcare employee and says they’ve not only received an outpouring of love and support from their own community, but also from their HCA family. Dalton has a twin brother named Thomas, who Elizabeth says keeps Dalton energized and full of smiles, despite going through cancer treatment. "I've never worked somewhere before where an organization truly meets us where our need is at. I've had coworkers show up and volunteer at Dalton's fundraiser on their own time. I am really grateful and humbled by the support from HCA,” Elizabeth said. “Dalton and his family have such a positive mindset, taking it one step at a time and keeping their eye on the finish line," said Dr. Meghann McManus, a pediatric hematology/oncology specialist practicing at The Children’s Hospital At TriStar Centennial. "I love hearing about Dalton’s bond with his twin brother, Thomas. I know getting the brothers back together after a long hospital stay is just what Dalton needs to help him recover. We know that taking care of the whole family is so important and this is just one example of how family gives a patient the strength they need." TriStar Health is proud to be a part of HCA Healthcare, a collaborative and innovative healthcare network united by a singular mission: Above all else, we are committed to the care and improvement of human life. #CareLikeFamily #HCAHealthcare

  • TriStar Health is dedicated to honoring those who have been touched by cancer. Throughout June, some of our hospitals held events in observance of National Cancer Survivor Month. TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center in Smyrna, created a heartfelt tribute to cancer survivors led by radiation oncology director, Jennifer Hays. Colleagues, patients and visitors were invited to leave wishes, prayers or messages of hope for those impacted by cancer. This initiative allowed our community to come together in support and solidarity, sharing words of encouragement and strength. StoneCrest also hosted a Cancer Survivorship Celebration, which provided attendees with the opportunity to share their stories, read special messages of hope and connect with community organizations that offer assistance to those navigating the cancer journey. Guests also enjoyed special refreshments, making the event a truly memorable occasion.
