💼 The Hidden Cost of Caregiving Stress: Healthcare Expenses on the Rise As caregiving stress takes a toll on U.S. workers, we’re not just talking about burnout—it’s directly contributing to increased healthcare costs and more frequent medical leaves. This article explores an issue that’s becoming impossible to ignore. The Numbers Are Concerning: >Caregivers facing chronic stress are more likely to develop serious health issues, including anxiety, depression, and even physical ailments like heart disease. >This leads to higher healthcare claims, as employees need more time off to recover or seek treatment, driving up costs for both workers and employers. What can be done? Instead of waiting for the problem to escalate, companies can take a proactive approach by providing comprehensive caregiving support. This isn’t just an employee benefit—it’s a solution to help reduce overall healthcare spending. 🔑 Supporting caregivers with mental health resources, stress management tools, and flexible policies can dramatically reduce healthcare costs, as employees feel supported before their health deteriorates. How does your company manage healthcare costs related to caregiving stress? It’s time to consider how preventative support can keep your workforce healthier and reduce long-term expenses. #Caregiving #HealthcareCosts #EmployeeBenefits #MentalHealth

🌎 The Reality of Long-Distance Caregiving: A Growing Challenge for Millions Nearly 6 million Americans are caring for loved ones from a distance, a challenging position shared by more than 1 in 10 of the country’s 53 million family caregivers. On average, long-distance caregivers live 450 miles away from their care recipients, making it difficult to manage healthcare, coordinate services, and stay connected according to a USA TODAY article from earlier this year: https://lnkd.in/giCj52uV ✨ Homethrive Care Guide Spotlight: Amanda McKenzie Julie, one of these long-distance caregivers, was balancing a full-time job and family life while managing her aging parents' care from hundreds of miles away. That’s when Amanda, her Care Guide, stepped in. Amanda handled every detail—coordinating healthcare services, making referrals, and organizing home safety assessments—so Julie could focus on her family without the constant stress of caregiving. ⁉ Why does this matter? Long-distance caregiving is emotionally and physically draining. Without the right support, caregivers face burnout, absenteeism at work, and heightened stress. That’s why having a dedicated Care Guide like Amanda isn’t just helpful—it’s essential. Care Guides provide peace of mind by taking on the heavy lifting, ensuring caregivers can stay focused on their own lives while knowing their loved ones are in good hands. If your employees are caught between career and balancing the demands of caregiving from afar--Let’s chat! #CaregivingSupport #LongDistanceCare #CaregivingFromAfar #EmployeeWellbeing #EmployeeBenefits

Today we’re unveiling a new study from JubileeTV that shines a light on the growing crisis of remote caregiving. The findings show that 59% of U.S. adults are caring for aging family members from afar. A third of them spend over 10 hours a week doing it — basically a part-time job. The emotional and financial toll is heavy, and a lot of caregivers don’t even realize how much they’re doing. As someone who's been there, I know how tough this can be. That’s why we created JubileeTV — to make things easier for those juggling caregiving remotely. This role needs more attention, and technology can help lighten the load.  Check out Daniella Gray's exclusive story in Newsweek. We’ll share the full report later this week. https://lnkd.in/gZ_Cny_n
