> Your Health Records On Your Phone by Samsung! Last week, Samsung Health App, leveraging the b.well Connected Health Platform, released a major upgrade allowing users to get all their health records on their phone and get push notifications about open care needs. I recorded a quick video using my real health records to show everyone how easy it is to take control of your healthcare. I had used Apple Health in the past to do this but Samsung Health makes it actually useful: 1. In Samsung Health, I have access to almost all the doctors and hospitals in the country compared to the small subset of hospitals available in Apple Health. 2. In Samsung Health, I can search for my records by using my doctor’s name. Like most people, I remember my doctor’s name but don’t know which health system holds my patient records. b.well has already done the work to map doctors to the health systems that store their patient records. 3. Samsung Health uses LLM (Large Language Models) from b.well to allow searching for doctors using plain English like "baby doctor". 4. Samsung Health uses the b.well Intelligence Layer (IL) to combine data from different health records into a single longitudinal record. 5. Samsung Health provides me proactive notifications about care needs so I can stay on top of my health. These notifications show up as push notifications on my phone even if I don’t check my app every day. Finally I can be in control of my own healthcare!

This week, at Women of Innovation, we feature a transformative force in the healthcare marketplace. She is spearheading the revolution to give consumers a voice in their medical treatments. Kristen Valdes began her career as Senior Director of Reporting & Analytics at XLHealth. She was responsible for developing advanced predictive models to isolate gaps in care and intervention opportunities for seniors with chronic conditions. Her role quickly transformed into building back-office operations and technology as the Vice President of Operations and Technology. In August 2013, Kristen became the VP of Government Claims and XLHealth, responsible for maintaining and growing the business plan's profitability. Inspired by her child’s fight with autoimmune disorder, she founded b.well Connected Health and serves as its CEO, giving healthcare consumers access to relevant treatment and support. Here’s to Kristen! #KeiretsuWomenOfInnovation #WomenOfInnovation #BWellConnectedHealth #Healthcare

🎉 I am beyond stoked to be joining b.well Connected Health🎉 Years ago, I had come across Kristen Valdes talking about her why (the B in b.well), her advocacy work for patients, and deeply knowing the challenges with interoperability. I have kept tabs on the growth of b.well and the work they have done ever since. You can imagine my excitement when Marvin Pascua let me know of a rare opening to join Erin Scales, Kelly Miller, Andy Harlen, Palwasha (Sasha) K., and more. It's not everyday you get to blend your experience with your passion and have it align with what you do daily. I love that I can still dive deep into the complexities of interoperability, from structuring and harmonizing data to leveraging data science with a clinical rules engine. All of this work ultimately leads to creating a more personalized and impactful healthcare experience for people. What makes this even more fun is to make my debut with the team at HLTH USA! Looking forward to catching up with old friends and making new ones! Send me a message or let's book some time together ( https://bit.ly/4dKK2mn ). #hlth2024 #hlthusa #interoperability #healthtech #digitalhealth
