Happy Lunar New Year to those who are celebrating! We wish you peace and prosperity in 2025. We’re thrilled to share some exciting news that marks a significant milestone for our chapter. ICF Austin has officially partnered with three incredible organizations that align with our mission to empower leaders and create meaningful change. These partnerships increase the awareness of coaching and enable our members to make a positive impact in diverse industries and communities. Over the next few weeks, we will spotlight each of our partnerships. This week, we would like to highlight our collaboration with SXSW. This is a fantastic opportunity to increase awareness of the transformative benefits of coaching and showcase the value of ICF-credentialed professionals to a diverse and global community of creative, technology and business entrepreneurs. As a start, at this year's conference, our Community Outreach Director, Sharanya Rao, CPCC, PCC, will present at the Workplace Track, sharing insights on self-advocacy in the workplace, and one of our Outreach Committee members, Bikram Gupta Sarma, will serve as a mentor and coach to start up and tech leaders navigating challenges. Member Highlight! Let’s meet Susan D. Corbin, PhD, PCC: Susan has been coaching doctoral students and supporting their dissertation work since 2005. She even authored a book on the subject! Additionally, Susan served as the treasurer for ICF Austin for five years. What Susan D. Corbin says about coaching: I love watching my clients complete more writing than they have in a year (or years) and achieve success at a task that has been holding them back from pursuing their doctorate. ICF Austin: Coaching can be a solitary business. The ICF Austin community connects me with other coaches. I enjoy hanging out and chatting with them since they are fascinating conversationalists. A powerful way to highlight our ICF Greater Austin Chapter member organization is to spotlight some incredible #coach members! Over the next few days, you'll notice posts with this focus. To start, let's meet long-time chapter member and Community Outreach committee member Wendy Harvey-Irwin, PCC: Lead Trainer at iPEC; Experiential Workshops for Visionary Leaders and Left-brained Industries Wendy helps people pivot from consuming all of the "data" out there to forging their own unconventional path AND creating the space to do it. She loves to work with clients who have reached their limit of "have-to's", "shoulds" and "that's just the way it's always been done", and are looking for a creative shift in their life. She loves to help those who feel worn out or confused to find that final missing piece of the puzzle, YOU! Wendy is there to help you find YOUR strengths, YOUR creativity, and YOUR "genius", regardless of what the norms of "becoming successful" are. At the end of the day, Wendy will help you unleash a version of yourself that will almost be unrecognizable. Wendy helps you infuse "YOU" back into your life, both personally and professionally. Her 15+ years of experience in branding, marketing and running her own business, will help you find and unleash your own creative genius, as well as forge your own path to being the most authentically you. **What Wendy Irwin says about coaching:** I love seeing the light-bulbs go off when people realize just how powerful they are. **What Wendy says about the value of ICF Austin:** I love meeting other people who have a passion for this work. They inspire me and keep me open to new approaches and ideas. Check out Wendy's website in the comments below. Interested in the ICF Austin community? Connect with us at icfaustin.org
