It was great to see our partner, Kenji OHMORI, take the stage at SXSW this year for his talk, "Ultrafast Quantum Computing with Ultracold Atom Arrays at Quantum Speed Limit." ⚛️ He delivered a fascinating talk on the evolution of quantum science, its role in shaping today's quantum computing landscape, and, most importantly, his work on Japan's groundbreaking Quantum Moonshot Program that Infleqtion has been a part of since 2023. Ohmori serves as Chair Professor at the Institute for Molecular Science (IMS), National Institute for Fusion Sciences (NIFS), National Institutes of Natural Sciences (NINS). He is currently leading large-scale, long-term national projects focused on advancing ultrafast quantum simulators and quantum computers—critical initiatives prioritized and supported by Japan's Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) and the Cabinet Office. 🇯🇵🔬

Thanks to BAE Systems for inviting Infleqtion UK to last evening The Thread event on Joining Forces for Defence. Keshav Thirumalai spoke at length to a very interested audience about Infleqtion’s work on quantum enabled inertial navigation and positioning and especially about last year HighBias2 flight trial. More to come soon. Next time we’ll take to the sea. Richard Brown #infleqtion #quantum #qepnt #defence

The future of energy demands smarter solutions. And quantum computing is poised to deliver. ARPA-E is paying attention! Infleqtion just landed a $6.2M ARPA-E award—their first-ever award in quantum. What does that mean? Let’s break it down: 🧠 AI data centers are guzzling energy like never before. 🌱 Renewables like wind & solar fluctuate—great for sustainability, tricky for grid stability. 💡 Traditional optimization struggles to keep up—adding costs through inefficiency. Enter quantum computing. With this funding, our ENCODE project will explore how quantum algorithms can improve energy grid efficiency—a collaboration with Argonne National Laboratory, EPRI, and NREL. The potential? ✔️ More accurate grid optimization ✔️ Smarter energy distribution to cut costs ✔️ A more sustainable way to power AI-driven workloads This is a huge leap toward a smarter, more resilient energy grid. https://lnkd.in/gikJ-gCx #Infleqtion #ARPAE #QuantumInnovation #EnergyOptimization #QuantumTech

Quantum Fact or Fiction? 🤔 Does time really freeze in extreme gravitational fields like it did in the movie, Interstellar? Einstein’s Theory of Relativity tells us that time slows down for objects moving at high speeds or in strong gravitational fields, but has Hollywood taken creative liberties? In the film, one hour on Miller’s Planet is the equivalent of seven years on Earth due to its proximity to the black hole Gargantua. While time dilation is real and observed daily in physics experiments—such as with elementary particles in accelerators—the magnitude depicted in Interstellar is likely exaggerated for dramatic effect. That said, while time dilation is measurable, slowing time enough to significantly extend a human lifespan isn’t a realistic possibility due to practical constraints. For now, we’ll have to make the most of the time we’ve been given! ⏳ What do you think—does Hollywood’s take on time dilation spark curiosity or create misconceptions?🚀🔭 #QuantumFactorFiction #TimeDilation #QuantumTechnology #QuantumComputing #Infleqtion #PopCulture

The Infleqtion team just got back from Defense Cyber Marvel 4 (DCM4)! A multinational cyber defense exercise led by the UK Ministry of Defence, bringing together cyber professionals from 27 nations to push the boundaries of modern defense. This year’s mission? Train, innovate, and apply cutting-edge technologies—including quantum computing, AI, and satellite control—to prepare for the cyber threats of tomorrow. Our team delivered hands-on quantum computing instruction, walking soldiers through a real-world air defense asset optimization challenge using Superstaq. We capped off the session with a programming challenge, allowing participants to apply their learnings in a high-tempo, immersive environment. Beyond DCM4, we had the privilege of visiting Yonsei University, where we explored exciting quantum advancements following their installation of an IBM One quantum computer. Cyber threats evolve daily, and exercises like DCM4 underscore the importance of global cooperation, innovation, and quantum-powered resilience. A huge thank you to our partners, participants, and organizers for making this such a dynamic and forward-looking event! #DefenseTech #QuantumTech #DCM4 #UKMOD #DefenseInnovation #Infleqtion
