Officially launched in January, 2017, the Insights Association was formed through the merger of two organizations with long, respected histories of servicing the market research industry: CASRO (founded in 1975) and MRA (founded in 1957). The result is a new, larger and more connected association with a unified, coordinated and higher profile voice, aligned in mission and message, and ultimately more effective at advancing the industry and profession in which we all share an abiding passion. The Insights Association strives to effectively represent, advance, and grow the research profession and industry. Specifically, the organization: - Provides government advocacy through legislative, regulatory and judicial means - Cares for and improve the industry’s image in the eyes of the media and public - Markets the business case for industry products and services to buyers and users - Sets and enforces professional standards - Establishes and reinforces best practices - Helps members grow their businesses, their departments, and themselves as research professionals

P&G Sets Deadline for Quantitative Online Sample Providers to be Certified to ISO 20252 – IA subsidiary CIRQ (Certification Institute for Research Quality) stands ready to certify companies to this standard. To address what it describes as all-time high threats to data quality, Procter & Gamble has made a written request to providers of quantitative online sample to be certified to #ISO20252 by July 1, 2025, in order to be an approved vendor in consumer research. In its request, P&G notes the increased prevalence of traditional fraud, panelist inauthenticity as well as new fraud driven by generative AI technology. In seeking to work only with companies possessing ISO 20252 certification, P&G notes the need for its researchers to “easily be able to see data quality results in a study level.” As proof of performance, the company will request “standardized reporting of key KPIs (i.e., rep balancing, average time to complete study, # of panelists who failed to complete study)”. If you are working with P&G or would like to, you can become ISO 20252 certified in time to meet this deadline.
