    CEO & Co-founder at Solace

Incredibly excited to announce that Solace has raised a $14M Series A, led by Inspired Capital with participation from our existing investors Craft Ventures and Torch Capital. We connect people to healthcare advocates. Solace is deeply personal to me. My mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She was a doctor, someone who advocated for others. But when she was sick, she had a really challenging experience with the healthcare system and ultimately passed away. I wanted to start a company to help people who were going through challenges with their health and I discovered healthcare advocates, people who deeply understand the healthcare system and solve problems that people face at a super high rate. The problem is that it was really hard to find an advocate, and the experience working with them was challenging. So we created a way for people to connect with advocates in a seamless way, and got it covered by Medicare, so patients wouldn't have to worry about it. We've now helped thousands of patients and are growing incredibly quickly, and we're just getting started. You can read our WSJ funding announcement below.

We are thrilled to announce the latest addition to our portfolio: Solace, the health tech company reimagining the American healthcare journey from start to finish. Solace matches patients with qualified healthcare advocates who are covered by Medicare to help manage their conditions and handle the necessary coordination behind the scenes—so patients can focus on what matters most: getting better. Everyone should have a licensed advocate when fighting for our most valuable asset—our health. Please welcome Jeremy Gurewitz, Sara Sargent, and the entire Solace team! Inspired is proud to lead Solace's $14M Series A round to support them on their journey to become a fundamental pillar of the US healthcare system. The team is expanding and looking for people who are passionate about this powerful mission. Learn more here: https://bit.ly/3yLw5pR

Why do insurers love Copilot's day-1 deployment? As Kalepa  CEO Paul Monasterio put it: "We can turn this on for you tomorrow, and you will see that it's driving value." Insurers have been the victims of software implementations that take months (or years!) before delivering any impact. But Kalepa's Copilot works out-of-the-box, so underwriters can improve their growth, profitability, and efficiency metrics from day one. Check out Maxime Seguineau's full interview with Paul on The Real Maxime Podcast, presented by Raido Capital Partners - link in the comments.
