Our Leaders
Our Humble Beginnings
In 1987, Dr. Joseph Walder established Integrated DNA Technologies in Iowa with a simple premise: move science forward. He embraced intellectual curiosity, education, empowerment, and philanthropy; the DNA of IDT. In 2018, IDT became a Danaher Corporation operating company. We are now a global genomics brand with 1,500 associates. We manufacture 95,000 oligonucleotides daily for 130,000 researchers in academic and commercial labs, agriculture, medical diagnostics, and pharmaceutical development.
Joining Forces with Danaher Sustainability at IDTOur Science Helps the World
IDT is a leading manufacturer of custom oligonucleotides and proprietary technologies for genomics applications such as NGS, CRISPR genome editing, qPCR, and RNA interference. Our products are used by over 130,000 scientists researching forms of cancer and inherited and infectious diseases. We are proud to have played a role in the fight against SARS-CoV-2 as the first company in the U.S. to have our primer and probe kits approved as key components of the U.S. CDC testing protocol for COVID-19.
