🔔 The International legacy of #Paris2024 is set to expand as IOC announces funding for 10 impactful social projects in Africa. Through this initiative, the IOC will ensure continued funding for the most innovative and impactful projects that have been supported by Paris 2024 and the French Development Agency (AFD) in Africa. 🔔👏 We're excited to announce the recipients of the 1st annual Ignite365 awards The Ignite365 Awards are the first initiative of the Olympism365 Innovation Hub, a collaboration between the IOC, Beyond Sport and Women Win, which will invest USD 1.2 million in different innovative community projects in the next nine months. These innovators were selected for their inventive contributions to sport for sustainable development, which include reducing plastic waste, creating sustainable sports facilities, educating female athletes on menstrual health, promoting gender equality and violence prevention initiatives, making live sport more accessible to the visually impaired and helping people with disabilities to stay active. Advancing equity, inclusion and education: A new initiative will see the power of sport impact the lives of 50,000 children across Asia, the Middle East and North Africa thanks to the collaboration between the IOC, Qatar Foundation and Education Above All Foundation 📌 The three-year project will be focused on women and girls, people with disabilities, and people from marginalized communities, supporting the implementation of sports-for-good projects in over 10 countries, including Qatar, Sudan, and India. 🔍 https://lnkd.in/d3eSvQRH

The Hub will: 🔹 Incubate cutting-edge innovations that maximise the positive impact of sport; 🔹 Facilitate knowledge-sharing and learning across the sports movement and social innovation; 🔹 Support organisations and individuals around the world through investments that will benefit thousands of people and communities by 2026; 🔹 Broker partnerships and engage diverse sectors — in and out of sport — to foster new solutions and lasting development in sport for social change.
