Kapur routinely holds what we fondly refer to as Cookie Talks — time set aside for our departments to meet, catch up, and discuss the latest professional and personal developments! Our interns often rate these get-togethers as their favorite memories from their time spent with us, and we think that speaks volumes to the company culture we’re able to create through our mutual love of cookies! #allin #cookietalk #nationalcookiemonth

Thanks to those who joined us last week at the Henry Maier Festival Park to celebrate, honor, and remember those affected by blood cancers as part of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night event. As a co-sponsor of the event, Kapur raised $8,940, and knowing all too well how impactful these diagnoses are, we greatly appreciate everyone who donated in support of lifesaving research and advocacy for blood cancer patients and their families.

Thanks to everyone from Kapur who recently gathered to help remove trash and contaminants from our adopted stretch of the Lincoln Creek waterway along Lincoln Creek Parkway! These efforts not only beautify the area but also support the plant and animal life that call this ecosystem home. We appreciate Milwaukee Riverkeeper for letting us show our commitment to preserving these precious resources!

Congratulations to Athena Kuhl, Public Involvement Specialist at Kapur, for her insightful contributions to the presentation ‘Partnering with Local Governments and the Community’ at the ASCE Wisconsin Annual Meeting. Alongside WisDOT project manager Doug Cain, PE, and GRAEF senior transportation engineer Andre Ost, PE, PTOE, it was great to learn more about the Reimagining WIS 175 Study and how its success can serve as a model for future projects!

It is with great sorrow that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of our friend and colleague Paul Stankevich, PE, Associate & Project Manager within our Transportation Group. Paul had been fiercely fighting a serious disease for months, but additional medical setbacks occurred which he was unable to overcome. He is survived by his partner, Jill Berenz; his parents Paul Sr. and Nancy; his children Kristina, Ryan, Tyler, and Justyn; and his five grandchildren. Additional information about funeral and visitation details will be shared when they are available.
