Our CEO, Aram Shumavon, recently spoke at the Road to 24/7 Clean Energy event at Stanford University, hosted by Bank of America, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), XGS Energy, and Wilson Sonsini. Aram joined a dynamic panel with Vishal Apte (BatteryOS), Thomas Baker (BCG), Ryan Hanley (Equilibrium Energy), and Maeve Allsup (Latitude Media) to discuss the impact of AI on power markets. Here are the top takeaways: 1. AI will significantly boost electricity demand with the rise of AI-specific data centers. 2. AI will play an increasingly important role in driving efficiency in decisions about where to invest and how to operate grid-connected devices and the grid itself. Check out the photo of Aram in action! 📸 #CleanEnergy #AI #GridOptimization

Exciting news! We’re proud to announce our partnership with National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Berkeley Lab, and U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in the groundbreaking Transportation Electrification Impacts Study (TEIS). This study supports the EPA’s historic vehicle pollution standards and examines the EV infrastructure needs across California, Oklahoma, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and New York. Key findings: 🚗 Modest investments in charging infrastructure and grid upgrades can support increased EV adoption. 🌍 Potential to avoid over 7 billion tons of carbon emissions. 💰 Nearly $100 billion in annual net benefits. The TEIS offers a comprehensive, data-driven approach to understanding and planning for the future of EV adoption, ensuring a cost-effective transition to cleaner transportation. Learn more about how we’re contributing to a more sustainable and resilient energy grid. What exactly are Virtual Power Plants? How do they contribute to a more affordable, cleaner, and more efficient energy supply? And how can VPPs serve as an accelerant to the energy transition in the face of unprecedented demand growth? We partnered with Kevala to break this down in our Powering The Edge white paper that can be accessed at: https://ow.ly/BoRo50SyK43 #DigitalEnergyTransition #VirtualPowerPlants #PoweringTheEdge Michael Levy Martin Szczepanik Margot Everett

As the energy transition accelerates, virtual power plants (VPPs) are set to become a $70 billion market in the US by 2030. But what are VPPs and how do they contribute to a cleaner, more efficient energy supply? Baringa and Kevala collaborated on in-depth research to answer these questions and more. Download our report to explore the services and value propositions that VPPs bring, understand the driving forces behind their growth, and discover how utilities can effectively integrate them into the grid. https://ow.ly/T7H450SuAA9 Michael Levy Martin Szczepanik Margot Everett #DigitalEnergyTransition #VirtualPowerPlants #PoweringTheEdge

We're delighted to be featured in Arshad Mansoor's tour from EPRI’s Electrification 2024. In this video, Arshad discusses how Kevala utilizes EPRI's OpenDSS to model complex scenarios, helping stakeholders strategize for the future of electrification. Thank you for the shout out, Arshad!
This is my third and final set of videos highlighting activities from the show floor at EPRI’s Electrification 2024 last month in Savannah, GA. More than 80 exhibitors set up shop in the convention center expo hall, displaying technologies that could be central to a more electrified future. I had the pleasure of connecting with numerous exhibitors to learn more about the advances being made toward a clean energy future. Watch the video to learn more. First, I stopped by the booth of conference host Southern Company to see its battery energy storage on wheels, ready to supply power to maintenance vehicles in neighborhoods to reduce noise pollution. I also saw a VR tour of its new nuclear power facility, Vogtle 4. Next, I stopped by SPAN (a smart electrical panel), HeyCharge (smart charging hardware), and Kevala (a grid data-analytics platform), each offering technologies to optimize the electric grid and prepare consumers for electrified transportation. Mark your calendar for Electrification 2026, hosted by Exelon in Baltimore!
