#Indiana is committed to improving the #qualityoflife of #veterans who have answered the call to #protect our #nation, and one way our state does this is through INvets! It was an honor to celebrate the success of INvets in Northwest Indiana which became the home of 23 veterans and their families over the past year thanks to its efforts. I am incredibly grateful to this organization for leading the charge in connecting veterans with #Hoosier #businesses and #communities!

Thank you to Healthy Communities of #ClintonCounty for hosting a meaningful Mental Health Community Conversation earlier this week! It was especially important to hear the perspective of two high school #students who are part of #YouthRISE, a youth-based #communityservice group that builds #responsible and #involved teens. We need to bring together different voices within communities across #Indiana to create #sustainable change for #mentalhealth and #addiction services!

Thank you to St. Joseph County Cares, The SOURCE Elkhart County and Oaklawn Psychiatric Center for hosting an impactful #MentalHealth #Community #Conversation in #SouthBend this morning! Elkhart and St. Joseph Counties are working hard to create #collaborative solutions to the mental health needs of their region on the local level. I also appreciated the representatives from the Division of Mental Health & Addiction and Riley Children's Health for helping lead the conversation on how Indiana can address mental health challenges at the state level.
