Thanks to everyone that participated in yesterday's #trivia Thursday. The answer is C. Child-Led Adoptions is NOT a type of adoption in the state of Maryland. Maryland law defines three different kinds of adoptions: - Public agency adoptions: this type of adoption is filed by the Department of Human Services after parental rights have been terminated. - Private agency adoptions: this type of adoption is filed by a private adoption agency that has identified a child available for adoption and has identified a family willing and able to adopt the child. - Independent adoptions: this type of adoption is usually filed by a private party. Independent adoptions are often filed by a stepparent or co-parent who wants to adopt their partner’s child. Read more here https://lnkd.in/eHM9-4Fx #MDCourts #Adoption #fact #Friday

Thanks to all who participated. This was a trick question. Get it? Trick or treat?.... The alleged haunted judges bench is, indeed, Judges Bench, a bar located in Howard County where diners have reported sightings of a ghost. 🎃 Judge's Bench History: During the 1800’s in historic Ellicott City, a small stone building at the corner parking lot on Main Street and Ellicott Mills Drive was the original Howard County Courthouse. It was destroyed in the 2018 flood. Our building was a small “mom and pop” grocery store. Without air conditioning in those days, the heat-exhausted judges would come across the street and sit on shaded benches outside the grocery store and enjoy cold beverages. This is how our location became known as “The Judge’s Bench.” Source: https://lnkd.in/eWjM_egk
Trick OR treat...give me something good to eat... 👻 Which judge's bench in Maryland is allegedly haunted? Leave us your response in the comment section ⤵ #Halloween #MDCourts
