Mental Health America is thrilled to announce the release of our inaugural Youth-Driven Policy Guide, “Trailblazing the Future of Youth Peer Support.” 🎉 https://lnkd.in/gGAFy4HD Youth peer support connects young people with shared identities and mental health experiences, offering mutual support and empowerment. It’s a growing part of the conversation and strategy to ensure all young people have access to timely, relevant, and responsive mental health support wherever and whenever they need it. This first-of-its-kind report, co-authored by MHA’s Youth Policy Accelerator (YPA) members, highlights the importance of youth peer support and offers key recommendations for federal policymakers, advocates, peer support organizations, and young people, driven by the group’s expertise and a YPA-led survey of more than 350 people working in youth peer support. Swipe through to learn more, and read the full report at https://lnkd.in/gGAFy4HD Thank you to the co-authors of this report: YPA members Dionne R. Regis, Trace Terrell, Brandon Bond, and Aimee Resnick; and MHA staff Kelly Davis and Caren A. Howard (she/hers).
