It's National Intern Day! Today, we're proud to celebrate our Summer interns, Kirk and Blake. Emerson Kirksey Hankamer JR. has been busy this summer, spending time with our Finance, Asset Management, and Development teams, and working hard on numerous projects. Blake has been a special addition to our Experience team. As Community Relations Intern, Blake supports our Community Relations Manager on philanthropic projects with Kids' Meals and Spring Branch Education Foundation. We're so thankful for their hard work and contributions to our team this Summer. It's a bittersweet farewell as we say goodbye for the season, and we're so excited to see where the future takes you. Last week, a special delivery was made to the Kids' Meals, Inc. facility. A total of 10,003 juice boxes and a $3,000 donation were delivered. Over the last month, our team joined forces with the Memorial City community to gather juice boxes for Kids' Meals. Throughout the Summer season, Kids' Meals needs even more support with food supplies to build nourishing meals. With schools out of session, underserved kids don't have the opportunity to receive a meal that they otherwise would have. These juice boxes help make up a full meal for a hungry child - 10,003 juice boxes for 10,003 kids! Last month also marked our first-ever Memorial City Food Tour! Houston-area foodies joined us for a one-night-only restaurant crawl, getting a taste of the flavors of Memorial City restaurants. All $3,000 in ticket proceeds were donated to Kids' Meals to support their mission of ending childhood hunger.
