We’re working to make primary care more accessible where and when employees need it. It’s reassuring to know that we’re not alone. Tradeoffs highlights how employers are seeking to extend touchpoints to primary care. It's also why we invested in apree health, and their ability to scale and customize to an employer’s needs: http://spr.ly/6045UfFqv

Looking forward to seeing many of you at this year’s HLTH USA conference in Las Vegas. I’m joining a panel discussion moderated by Anna Mathews of The Wall Street Journal exploring the relationship between health plans and employers. As the title – “Employer’s Frenemies” – suggests, there remain many opportunities to enhance this relationship, particularly when it comes to optimizing outcomes and controlling costs. Ashok Subramanian of Centivo and Ellen Kelsay of Business Group on Health are the ideal co-panelists and have been at the center of this debate, as employers increasingly seek to improve ROI on their health care spend in today’s macroeconomic environment marked by rising inflation and wage growth. A strong carrier-employer relationship remains foundational to our work at Morgan Health. Ensuring that these relationships are based on clearly defined metrics and prioritize better outcomes is what we’re aiming to drive across the system. We’ll share news on this front at the conference -- with insights on how employers can standardize quality measures in the contracting process and extend employee access to affordable health plan options. Led by Jody Tropeano and her team, HLTH is always one of my favorite events of the year. The “Employer’s Frenemies” panel will take place on the Disco Stage at 1:30pm on Monday, PT. Drop any questions you have for the panel below! https://lnkd.in/g25S2_Gw

Collectively, U.S companies spend over $1 trillion each year on health care for their employees and families. But is this massive expense truly benefiting the workforce? In the latest episode of Tradeoffs podcast, they showcase how JPMorganChase is taking control of these costs by investing in our Vera Whole Health primary care centers. Not only providing their employees with more affordable health care, but a better experience. Our clinicians work to keep people healthy and manage chronic conditions while proactively screening to address issues before they arise. 🎧 Learn more about how this model can reshape employee health care across the country, reduce costs and improve outcomes... one routine check-up at a time. https://lnkd.in/eAhN-SYj Dan Mendelson Morgan Health #employerhealth #primarycare #employeewellness

🌸 People of color have long faced disparities in breast cancer screening, care, treatment, and outcomes. We need to cultivate a deeper understanding of the clinical and social factors that influence a person’s health, so that everyone has the opportunity to get the care they need when they need it. #BreastCancer #BreastCancerAwareness #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth #NationalBreastCancerAwarenessMonth

Thanks to all who joined us in Washington, D.C., for conversations on the growing digital health ecosystem in the Mid-Atlantic and the importance of health equity considerations. It was wonderful to see such passionate digital health leaders, health tech investors, and JPMorganChase colleagues share their perspectives on the intersections of data, innovation and equity. A special thanks to the JPMorganChase Mid-Atlantic Market Leadership Team, and our excellent panel of founders and CEOs for sharing their vast experience in the health care space: Vincent L. (Parker Health, Inc), Sema Sgaier, Ph.D. (Surgo Health), and Laura Randa, MPA (Toivoa) and to our moderator Dr. Nicol Turner Lee, author of Digitally Invisible, for an engaging discussion.

Always appreciate KFF work on employer healthcare costs - this year critically important as it shows relentless cost growth - in the neighborhood of 7% for the second year in a row. Also, importantly shows that American business is absorbing this cost as there is an understanding that American workers can’t absorb this. Work also shows trend of employers offering more cost effective plans to employees - which makes complete sense given where we are headed. As important, though, is that healthcare delivery is deteriorating at the same time. Employees are having a harder time accessing primary care, prevention, mental health, women’s health, and other key access points to care. We have to fix this at the same time - as these are related. Just focusing on the cost side will exacerbate the problem. These trends are not sustainable and the companies we have invested in, apree health, Personify Health, Centivo, Kindbody, Embold Health, LetsGetChecked are all addressing key aspects. Thanks to KFF and Larry Levitt and team. These observations motivate our work on solutions at Morgan Health.
