Shirley Named Morrisville Police Department Captain Morrisville, NC — The Morrisville Police Department is pleased to announce the appointment of Brad Shirley as captain of the Support Services Division. Mr. Shirley's selection came after an exhaustive selection process, underscoring the Town’s commitment to securing the highest caliber of leadership. With 29 years of experience in law enforcement and eight years in the fire service, Captain Shirley brings a wealth of expertise and dedication to his new role. He holds a bachelor's degree from Western Carolina University and a master's degree from Liberty University. Additionally, he has obtained certificates in Municipal Administration from the UNC School of Government and the Administrative Officers Management Program from North Carolina State University. Throughout his career, Shirley has served in various roles, including patrol officer, telecommunicator, instructor, detective, field training officer (FTO), corporal, sergeant, lieutenant, captain, deputy chief, and chief of police. Shirley began his new role on Aug. 4. The Morrisville Police Department and the Town of Morrisville are confident that his extensive experience and proven leadership will greatly benefit the Morrisville Police Department and the community.
