Executive creative director. Activist. Author. Champion of midlife women

CMOs. You may not have noticed, but the women in advertising have been fighting on all fronts this week: Zoe Scaman released her bombshell report on the horrific experience of being a mother in advertising. https://lnkd.in/ed25T3sJ The creative women of Australasia are up in arms after Campaign Brief's creative league table was published featuring just one woman. In 2024! https://lnkd.in/eTkmuizZ At Visible Inc we've been fighting gendered ageism. Visible Start screamed about the statistic that came out last week that almost 50% of recruiters think 57 is too old for a job. https://lnkd.in/evNqYnDE And Visible Creators, our team of elite midlife creatives, launched a campaign to highlight the fact that even though women 45+ are the world's biggest consumers, women 45+ are never employed to create ads for them. It's time for CMOs to use your firepower: Demand the mothers in your agency are happy and treated with the respect they deserve. Insist more female creatives are given your best briefs. Ensure your recruiters (and those in your agency) have undergone gendered ageism training (Jacquie Duckworth can give you all the info.) And, if you're targeting midlife women, demand that midlife women lead the damn narrative. What can everyone else do? Tag every CMO you can think of!

No one puts Bobbie in the corner! I'm not going to lie. I love this campaign because it bold, beautiful, and most importantly, Molly Baz is completely unapologetic and owning her space! If you can put a half-naked woman in underwear and wings on a billboard, there is no reason you can't show a mother feeding her baby.

Last Spring, Molly Baz woke up to discover her Times Square billboard for Swehl had been taken down. Her pregnant belly and milk-filled breasts were deemed inappropriate... Then Seed Health entered the chat and put her back up in solidarity to help us normalize pregnant bodies. Today, Baz is back on that same controversial Times Square Billboard (shoutout to OUTFRONT Media)—this time as a new mom with her baby, her boobs, and a bottle of Bobbie 🍼 When we realized Molly was using Bobbie to combo feed her baby it was a no brainer to continue the conversation that our female founder friends have started: our bodies shouldn’t be policed and neither should our feeding choices. The choice to have Molly bare all was intentional. There is still work to do to help breastfeeding moms feel supported, especially when it comes to feeding in public. There is still work to do to help parents feel confident in their feeding choices—whatever that may be. There is still work to do to help formula feeding parents not feel second best. So let’s get to work 💪 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eB3ZdCbv

Motion Graphics Artist helping Videographers dial in their vision and 🌟dazzle🌟 their clients.

It is HARD to establish a successful video business that outperforms the competition. You've put in a lot of effort to master video production skills to create exceptional videos for your clients, but maintaining a sustainable video business is STILL difficult. Motion graphics play a significant role in video and content creation. While you may already incorporate graphics into your videos, you might be unsure about how to price them or integrate them into your business offerings.   This is why I asked Deanna Griffin if I could help Colour Co. Rentals by sharing some of the knowledge I gained from 14 years of experience as a Motion Graphics Artist. In this workshop, Motion Graphics Magic, I'll share tips about planning, producing, and pricing motion graphics. By the end of this course, you'll feel more confident in pricing and be able to create a plan for your clients that will result in outstanding videos, retain existing customers, and attract new ones. This workshop is on October 12 from 1-3pm Eastern. To sign up, click the link in the comments or send me a DM.

Animated North Star videos to make your values tangible

I've connected with so many wonderful people here lately, and it got me thinking about the kind of work that truly energizes me. So, I figured it was about time to reintroduce myself. Hey 😊 I’m Oana, a freelance Art Director & Motion Designer with 12 years of experience. I'm based in London, though I originally hail from Romania. I create animated videos that inspire teams and connect companies with like-minded stakeholders by bringing their North Star to life. 🌟 ✨ My superpower is visual storytelling ✨ Visuals have the power to make complex topics easy to understand. But beyond that, visual storytelling creates emotional bonds with the audience. Research shows that experiences connected to strong emotional reactions are stored in the long memory cupboard. ✨ I value authenticity. I don't want to make more noise ✨ Crafting meaningful work that holds value for companies and their audiences is at the heart of my work practice. I’d love to hear what you’re excited about in your work. Feel free to say hey in the comments. 👋

Our second GetEven has landed: Make yourself Heard! This one is all about the dreaded imposter syndrome… sadly most women in the creative industry know this one! How&How’s design director, Priyjah Paramasivam, will be joined by coaches and co-founders of Concrete Wall Club, Carol - Anne Ward and Chloe Lowe, to talk about rewriting insecurity and making yourself heard. In an hour of conversation and Q&A, we’ll cover how to build confidence in the workplace, the power of body language, and standing out in a competitive environment. Make Yourself Heard is part of GetEven, How&How’s free mentorship program for women, by women, which aims to balance out the gender disparity in the Creative Industry. Whether you’re a founder or junior, animator or account manager, join us in learning actionable tools to take your career to where it deserves to be.

Creative Director / Producer / Creative Operations / Motion Designer

Over the summer we had a great opportunity to chat with Carl Cleanthes on the Pixel Retentive Podcast by Epic Made. Besides spending the hour with my favourite MoMaMographer, Kaci Smith, I love conversations about "work-life integration" with other industry folk. It really highlights how these discussions at Mothers of Mograph impact everyone—parents, caregivers, stepparents and single people alike. It’s inspiring to see how our conversations foster understanding and support across the creative community. #worklifeintegration #womeninanimation
