I had the opportunity of attending How&How's Get Even event: Make Yourself Heard. It was such an amazing event. The speakers were so inspiring and fun from start to finish. Imposter Syndrome has always been at the forefront of my personal and work life. To be in an online room with so many women around the world going through the same thing made me feel less alone. We as women and as people in general shouldn't be hiding these feelings. Just because we are professionals doesn't mean we are not human. This talk reminded me of that. I would highly recommend attending the next two event from them, they have been amazing so far! Check out How&How and Concrete Wall Club!

Thanks so much to all who joined our TECH WEEK by a16z event at Patagonia last night! A great panel discussion, free food and drink and a Patagonia merch raffle and giveaway? Roll on again for next year!
Last night at LA TECH WEEK by a16z, I had the chance to meet and hear from some inspiring creative business owners and strategists, including the dynamic Cat and Roger of How&How, Nick Barham of FNDR, and Nina Arshagouni from Cash App. We dove into one of the most critical yet often misunderstood topics: brand strategy. In business, strategy outlines the “big picture” of what you as the company aim to achieve. Your brand strategy supports those objectives by ensuring that your visual and verbal identity align with and reinforce your company’s overall goals. A strong brand strategy differentiates the business, fosters customer loyalty, and ultimately drive business success. Here are some of my favorite takeaways from our conversations: 🎈 Every brand has a narrative, whether they control it or not. The goal is to own your narrative. Boeing is a prime example of a company that lost control of theirs. 🎈 The best time to define your brand narrative? Yesterday. It’s never too early or too late. A clear narrative will guide countless decisions—from product design to social media presence and even to who you do and don’t hire. 🎈 Your narrative can spring from three sources: your origin story, your present work, or the future you hope to shape. 🎈 As a founder, start with your values. They’re a powerful foundation for defining your brand’s narrative. 🎈 Aim to fit your brand strategy on a one-pager. This forces focus, eliminates repetition, and ensures clarity at a glance. With that, 🏃🏼♀️ I’m off to craft our brand strategy one pager for Work is Play Studio. What else would you add to this list? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Punk, not Junk. — We launch Wild Thingz: a category-defining sweets brand that has the ingredients of a saint, but the energy–and shelf appeal–of a sinner. — 62% of parents are reluctant to give their children sweets. This isn’t surprising when the big brands are a sh*t-filled amalgamation of sugar, E-numbers, animal gelatine, palm oil, Talcum powder, and more. Yes there are better-for-you sweets, but their blanding (did our pen slip?) is just about as joyless as having no sweets at all. — If only parents could treat (aka bribe) their kids guilt-free. If only kids could taste the rainbow without all that rubbish. Enter Wild Thingz... — Case Study → https://lnkd.in/gbtmqbjk — #rebrand #branding #new
