"On this day, we honor the memory of my brother Adam and stand united in our commitment to child safety. Let us transform our grief into action, ensuring every child has a safe childhood. Together, we can make a difference,” Callahan Walsh, Adam's Brother and Executive Director of NCMEC July 27th, marks 43 years since Adam Walsh was abducted from a Florida department store and tragically murdered at just six years old. Following this unimaginable loss, John and Revé Walsh, recognized the urgent need to help other children and families facing similar crises. Together with other child advocates, they co-founded the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). This private, non-profit organization serves as the national resource center for information about missing and exploited children.
