The National Committee on U.S.-China Relations and the Schwarzman Scholars Alumni team recently co-hosted this year’s NCUSCR-Schwarzman Scholars Fellow’s Masterclass in Geneva, Switzerland. The theme, “Global Health and U.S.- China Relations,” was chosen by this year’s NCUSCR – Schwarzman Fellow, Bailey Johnson. Over the course of four days, 24 alumni from twelve different countries gathered to discuss issues like the pandemic treaty and global health governance, digital health, health financing, and the intersection of climate change and global health. Esteemed speakers including llona Kickbusch, Joan Kaufman, and National Committee President Steve Orlins, led insightful sessions, while alumni also had the opportunity to tour the World Health Organization and interact with leaders from leading international organizations such as UNAIDS and the World Economic Forum, as well as meet with representatives from the U.S. and Chinese Missions in Geneva.
