There is HOPE after #helene. This pallet sign was in front of one of our clean up sites where the house was completely destroyed. Amazing perspective. Volunteers needed!! Sorry fellas but no weekend golf, college, or professional football game can rival the feeling of helping put lives back together. If you're local please help with your time!! Mission 1 - Turn Statesville Regional airport into ground zero for private pilot aid/distribution What an amazing experience rallying the community to purchase goods, weigh them, and then send them with VOLUNTEER pilots into the disaster areas! Mission 2 - Go deep into the mountains and mud out homes, remove debris, disinfect floors, fell trees, and all kinds of other fun stuff! We were helping an 82 year old who just lost everything. We used creek water to clean since there was no running water and the power came back as we were working. Terribly sad but he was so grateful and wow the stories from his life. One of our bobcats tracks came off due to the depth and pressure of mud we were traversing through. I have never seen that before and it gives you the context of the cleanup at hand. The devastation was so intense we couldn't even make it deeper into the mountain area where other help was needed. This is far from over and it will take years not weeks or months. This effort was 100 percent VOLUNTEER, we didn't see any state or federal help during the entire 2.5 hr mountain trek. Just churches and private citizens/companies was all I saw. Some opportunities for donations if you're not local or time if you are: www.spvolunteer.org Samaritan's Purse www.redcross.org American Red Cross Please REPOST if you have locals in your network that may be able to help. Thank you to Valley Home Baptist Church for the wonderful hotdogs and baked goods lunch! What a surprise, sugar helps 😉. #helpneeded #hope

🤔 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗼𝗻 "𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁"❓ I get it—building a strong culture is incredibly challenging, but that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be your top priority. The formula for performance is simple in theory but tough to execute: 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁 = 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 = 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 = 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲. I may not have flashy consulting slides or graphs, but as we push for innovation and value, we must remember the source—our employees. No trust means no employee ideas. Status Quo = Status No (improvement) Here are a few simple steps to start building and enhancing trust today: 𝟭. 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 that encourage self-discovery and employee engagement. 2. As a leader, 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘃𝘂𝗹𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 by sharing your own learnings and your journey toward self-awareness. 3. 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗷𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆. Instead of saying, "We can't," try asking, "Here's how we could." Finally, surround yourself with people who operate at a higher level or possess the skills you aim to develop. You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with, so take a look around! In the end, 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 are what build and sustain trust. It’s a simple concept but not an easy one to maintain. Just like one gym trip doesn’t make an athlete, trust requires daily effort to establish and strengthen over time.

💡 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘁 💡 ❗ 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗘𝗛𝗦 𝗕𝘂𝘆-𝗜𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗔𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱 ❗ Recently, NexusHSE very own Lisa Brooks was invited to lead a C-Suite and Executive Leadership Team engagement for #HOP at a Fortune 100 company. These types of sessions can often take unexpected turns—but not this time! The executives were all in, leading to a multi-hour Q&A focused on one thing: achieving both employee well-being and operational excellence. Was it a scripted presentation? Nope! Just open, honest dialogue and creative solutions that will propel the company and its employees toward unprecedented performance, all thanks to the synergy of their phenomenal EHS team, innovative executives, empowered employees, and a really special EHS leader. ❣ Here’s a little Thursday inspiration: ❣ If you’re feeling stuck or like you're not moving the needle, success could be right around the corner. Keep pushing toward improvement! Remember, life has its peaks and valleys—if you're in a valley today, a peak is on the way! ❓ What is NexusHSE, and why are EHS professionals asking about us❓ If you've been following us on LinkedIn, you've probably seen us called many things: innovators, the "illuminati" 🤔, collaborators, disruptors, EHS contrarians, HOP creators, and a few other names. But honestly, we just want to be known as 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀. Partners in your success. Partners in your journey toward excellence. Partners in your leadership's EHS commitment. Partners in ensuring your employees are engaged, protected, and valued. Partners in achieving your environmental stewardship goals. Or simply, 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀. Picture us as the EHS customer service version of Chick-fil-A Restaurants —just without the delicious chicken sandwiches! 🤣 "𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘄𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂...𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀?" But don’t just take our word for it. Reach out to any of our tagged practitioners below and hear what they have to say or join us for a complimentary EHS C2 Shop Talk! Learn more about us here: https://lnkd.in/eRPDA4N4
