With aluminium, it just might have been! Thanks to its infinite recyclability, the aluminium in your car could have once been part of a truck - or will be again in the future. We’re closing the loop, ensuring that aluminium is reused and repurposed, creating endless possibilities for sustainable mobility. Novelis and Jaguar Land Rover, for example, pioneered sustainable automotive practices by introducing a closed-loop aluminium recycling system early on. This approach collects and reuses aluminium scrap from vehicle production, drastically reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions. By incorporating recycled content, they are moving closer to circular economy principles and more eco-friendly vehicle manufacturing.
