Strengthening the partnership! During the first international forum "Mykolaiv - a city on the wave" we signed a Memorandum of Cooperation between Mykolaiv and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. This organization helped us with the strengthening of enterprises with cogeneration units, took on the repair of rooms in a hostel for TDPs, and also provided materials for osmotic units. Representatives of the organization visited the city to see the state of affairs, and also to discuss plans for our further cooperation. I will add that also with the support of GIZ, repairs are currently being carried out in one of our educational institutions, and part of the department in the city hospital is being prepared for restoration. There are many ideas that we can implement together. I am grateful for the attention to our city. Let's continue working!

🔬 The first Mykolaiv WaterTechBootcamp on building four OpenFlexure digital microscopes using 3D printing technology has been successfully completed! Today, representatives of 9 Ukrainian water utilities, as well as scholarship holders of Scholarship Program "Girls in STEM for Mykolaiv" met in our Youth Center to learn about innovative 3D printing technology. The participants personally assembled and configured four OpenFlexure microscopes, gaining practical skills in working with it. This event was organised by the team of Mykolaiv Water Hub (MWH) in cooperation with Mykolaiv Water Utility. I thank everyone who joined the workshop for their active participation and enthusiasm. 🇸🇪 Establishing partnership relations with the Kingdom of Sweden! Christopher Lindstree, the head of the Liberal Party group in Trelleborg, arrived in Mykolaiv on a visit. At the end of last year, we already had the opportunity to communicate online with the mayor of Trelleborg and Christopher, discussing the features of our cities and areas of possible cooperation. Now Christopher Lindstree has personally visited Mykolaiv to see with his own eyes how our city lives in war conditions, what challenges the community faces and what areas of support could be relevant from Trelleborg. In particular, he was interested in what kind of assistance our city needs. I noted that during the full-scale invasion, we received incredible and varied assistance from our partner cities, international organizations and the Kingdom of Denmark, for which we are sincerely grateful. During the meeting, we agreed on further steps and assistance for Mykolaiv, in particular, on the transfer of equipment necessary for the city infrastructure. Thanks to Christopher Lindstree and the Trelleborg community for their support and solidarity!

The Ukrainian-Danish Youth House has opened its doors in Mykolaiv! 🇩🇰 Cooperation with the Kingdom of Denmark is unique and incredibly important for our city! We are sincerely grateful for the financial support, assistance in organizing this space and the desire to create better opportunities for Mykolaiv youth. I had the honor to welcome the Ambassador of Denmark to Ukraine Ole Egberg Mikkelsen, as well as the head of the embassy office in Mykolaiv Jacob Hansen at the opening. Your support is invaluable, and we really appreciate it! I thank the director of the Ukrainian-Danish Youth House, Julie Arnfred Bojesen, who understands the strength and potential of the youth of Ukraine! 🔥This house will become a space where ideas will be born, projects will develop, and young people will be able to study, create, collaborate and grow. The center will host trainings, lectures, workshops and many other interesting events. Thanks to everyone who joined the creation of this important project!

🔥Friends, today we have taken another step towards transforming our municipal enterprises. We met with PwC Ukraine experts at the City Council, which means that the Integrity Assessment of two municipal enterprises, Mykolaivelectrotrans and Mykolaivoblteploenergo, is officially starting. I hope you all remember our pilot story with Mykolaivvodokanal, where thanks to such a comprehensive audit we launched important processes, in particular, the creation of a supervisory board. Our ambitious plans include getting no worse results from both the municipal enterprise Mykolaivelectrotrans and the Mykolaivoblteploenergo. Both enterprises are critically important, as they ensure the functioning of the city. We will change them for: ✅ more efficient use of budget funds for their maintenance; ✅ creating attractive conditions for donors and partners. Therefore, we are waiting for expert reports, analyzing the results and implementing reforms. I thank the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative (EUACI) for its ongoing support – our constant partners. I am glad for our fruitful cooperation, we continue to work.
