The 6-seed Orange County SC pulled off the upset over the 3-seed Memphis 901 FC at AutoZone Park in Memphis, TN in the Western Conference Quarterfinals of the United Soccer League (USL) Championship Playoffs, presented by Terminix, thanks to a 116th minute winner by our Taqueria Hoy! Man of the Match Dillon Powers. The victory not only moved the County Boys into the Western Conference Semifinals, it also extended their unbeaten run to nine straight matches! 🧡 Things nearly got off to a lightning-fast start for the Black and Orange in the 4th minute after midfielder Seth Casiple whipped in a corner kick that fell to forward Bryce Jamison near the top of the box. Jamison struck on the half volley and caught it sweeter than some Afters Ice Cream, beat the Memphis goalkeeper, but his effort rang off the outside of the right post and wide. Both teams remained scoreless coming out of the halftime break, but the match took a turn in the 79th minute when Memphis substitute Lucas Turci struck midfielder Chris Hegardt in the face away from the play, picking up his second yellow card and was chauffeured out of the match, we use our friends BEST-VIP Chauffeured Worldwide. It took the Black and Orange nearly two hours to find a winner, but nobody seemed to mind after a Cityside Fiber Corner Kick sequence begun by defender Owen Lambe. He played forward Cameron Dunbar in short, who turned and whipped in a cross to the top of the six-yard box that was 𝑷𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒅 home by defender Dillon Powers. Powers’ header was so powerful The Orange County Power Authority nearly qualified it as a source of renewable energy and the County Boys led 1-0 late in the match. The 6-seed Orange County SC now heads to the Rockies where 2-seed Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC awaits for the Western Conference Semifinals. Watch party information will be shared later this week, so stay tuned to our social channels for more information! #OurCountyOurTime 🍊

After a second half featuring five goals on FanDuel Sports Network West | SoCal, the County Boys made it eight straight matches unbeaten in a 3-2 victory over Hartford Athletic on Fan Appreciation Night, presented by the City of Irvine’s Great Park Live, last Saturday. Two goals from the Taqueria Hoy! Man of the Match Ryan Doghman and a third from substitute Thomas Amang in his return from injury was enough to secure the 6-seed in the West. 🍊   Thanks so much to all of our fans who showed up for Oktobeer Fest and Fan Appreciation Night in their Halloween best. A special thank you to all of our breweries on hand, and to those like Elysian Brewing Co who brought seasonal flavors to sample!   In the ultimate sign of dedication, we had the six lucky winners of our Tattoo Lottery left The Champ with one of four unique OCSC designs. Thanks again to all of our newly inked fans!   Following the victory, the County Boys stuck around to show their appreciation for the best fans in the USL at our postgame autograph session. Fans were able to enjoy a few beers while in line at our Postgame Pints event and then get autographs and photos with all their favorite players, forming connections stronger than Cityside Fiber!   The 6-seed Orange County SC now hit the road for the Western Conference Quarterfinals, where they will visit 3-seed Memphis 901 FC at AutoZone Park in Memphis, TN on Saturday, November 2 at 11:00 am PDT on ESPN +. Stay tuned to all of our social channels for more information about watch parties and game information! #OurCountyOurTime 🍊

It’s official! Orange County SC is the first American club to launch a transatlantic community ownership opportunity. Earlier this year, nearly 1,500 fans from across the US joined our ownership family and today we are offering our UK fans the same chance. We went live this morning and already more than 120 fans have chosen to own a piece of the California Soccer Dream. Thanks to our friends at R Europe (formerly Seedrs) and Republic, we are delighted to offer this unique opportunity for soccer, actually let's call it football, fans in the UK to be part of the extraordinary growth in US soccer. We've had English managers (we won the championship under Richard Chaplow) and many English players. Both our Presidents are English, and we've understood the transfer market like an English club. It's your game, but without the rain. Join the family—Play a role in the US Soccer boom! Become an owner today! https://lnkd.in/gm4kT7BZ

On Saturday, Orange County SC clinched a spot in the 2024 United Soccer League (USL) Championship Playoffs, presented by Terminix, after a gritty 0-0 draw at home with the Western Conference’s top seed, New Mexico United, on Fiesta de Fútbol Night, presented by Taqueria Hoy!   For the first time ever, we hosted a Pregame Party at The Orange County Great Park’s The Layover prior to the match. Lots of fun was had in the lead up to our first ever March to the Match! It was great seeing all of our fans march into the stadium, chanting and drumming amidst the cloud of orange smoke.   Fans in attendance enjoyed a variety of Fiesta de Fútbol Night offerings, including delicious tacos from Taqueria Hoy!, the Official Taco of OCSC, Agua Frescas from Northgate Market, and the smooth taste of Divertido Tequila! Thanks again to our friends from Ballet Folklorico Nueva Generacion from City of Santa Ana for another fantastic halftime performance! We would also like to thank Councilmember Jessie Lopez for attending and becoming the first ever Ambassador of Orange County SC!   Goalkeeper Colin Shutler kept his record breaking 12th clean sheet of the season, surpassing former goalkeeper Patrick Rakovsky’s mark set in 2021 (11), making three saves on the night. Orange County SC's matchday roster featured seven teenagers on the night. Forward Bryce Jamison and defender Ashton Miles played the full 90 minutes and midfielder Ben Norris making an appearance off the bench.   The County Boys will take the pitch for the final time at Championship Stadium in the 2024 Regular Season this Saturday, when they host Hartford Athletic on Fan Appreciation Night at 7:00 PM. This match features our Oktobeer Fest, our LAST Beer Fest of the season, with our VIP session beginning at 4:00 PM. Tickets are going fast, secure yours here ➡ bit.ly/3Y67CFF

Many years ago, before I knew I was going to work in sport, I was interviewing Tom Glick, then with the City Group, for a sports diplomacy event with the Consulate. He told a story that I have never forgotten about the importance of believing in your brand partners and even doing his family grocery shopping based on who their sponsors are. Now I'm working in sports, I've taken this for our team at Orange County SC as literally as possible, and encourage my team to do the same. It defines what shoes I wear (hummel), what I drank at my recent camping trip (Brewery X) and what fried chicken my kids eat (Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers). And today, ahead of our Fiesta de Futbol on Saturday, a playoff-signficant penultimate game of the year against New Mexico at the Champ, we've got Taqueria Hoy! for lunch in the office. If you and your team can't believe in your partners enough to spend money with them, how do you expect your fans to?

Congratulations to the team at BSG Promo for becoming the winners of the Fifth Annual Corporate Cup after defeating Xe.com / Ria Money Transfer at Championship Stadium last night! 💼 🏆   BSG Promo got out to a quick lead with two goals in the first half, but Xe.com / Ria Money Transfer was able to claw back with a goal early in the second half. The County Boys made it a third straight win at The Champ in City of Irvine and extended their unbeaten streak to five matches in a 2-0 defeat of Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on California Classic Night, powered by The Orange County Power Authority. 🍊 Midfielder Chris Hegardt provided the initial spark for the Black and Orange in the 32nd minute. After being played behind the defense by defender Ryan Doghman, Hegardt played a dangerous ball into the box that deflected off a Switchbacks defender and past goalkeeper Christian Herrera for the opening goal of the match. After a red card sent forward Justin Dhillon for a water conscious shower late in the first half, the Switchbacks pressed on for an equalizer just before the first half whistle. However the United Soccer League (USL) Championship Player of the Month, goalkeeper Colin Shutler, made a diving stop to his left. The Black and Orange displayed an effort and an intensity level deserving of three points, which was fully rewarded when forward Ethan Zubak made it a Double-Double, as our friends at In-N-Out Burger would say, after he dribbled past Herrera way off his line and into an empty net from 30 yards out. The County Boys head on the road next week, but return home to The Champ on Saturday, October 19 for Fiesta de Fútbol Night against New Mexico United, presented by Taqueria Hoy! Tickets are going fast, grab yours here 🔗 bit.ly/484wfFT
